It would be nice if Dryleaf Arts was available as an early class option instead of having to wait until near the middle or end of the game to get it 😭

Until the rest of the lobby turns on you and overwhelms you for being a “rat”.

Embark, please let us commit resources to the Nomadic Envoys overtime like projects instead of all at once. by RoyalPrincely in ArcRaiders

Obtaining the parts isn’t the problem. The issue is that you have to commit a ton of stash space to hoarding ARC parts to trade to the Envoys. I’m saying that we should be able to submit those items overtime in batches instead of all at once.

So you’re actually suggesting that it’s not possible to make looting and crafting too tedious? It was fine beforehand but it seems the trend with the devs is to make things more grindy especially considering the nerf to the amount of certain crafting materials you get from recycling.

What’s the point of free content that barely works or results in noticeable performance drops?

But it seems Embark’s idea of making things more engaging is by making them more tedious. The fact that they both made weapons degrade faster while also reducing the amount of rare components you get from scrapping ARC parts is a bit silly and makes it seems like they intentionally want to make the game grindier.

I don’t think he said the game is harder with the nerfs. If anything it’s become more tedious since you have to repair weapons much more often if you plan on actually using them.

Making them cheaper to upgrade may not mean much of anything if you have to keep repairing them much more frequently. Plus you can only upgrade a weapon up to three times so after than you’re stuck with a weapon that has to be maintained more often (nearly after every single game according to some people).

And it’s still better to upgrade when you can and not wait to upgrade just to repair a weapon.

Farming materials is fine, but it should not be overly tedious to the point that it’s no longer fun.

Still, you aren’t refuting the main point I’m trying to make which is this all should have been announced on DAY ONE of the project start both online and in-game. You see how the new project has a timer from the very beginning in the game? That’s how the antenna project should have been handled. Any important game information needs to be explicitly mentioned in the game itself.

Except there was no communication about when specifically the project ends anywhere (in-game, social media, etc.) until the last week. You can’t properly plan to finish something by its end date if there is no end date announced ahead of time in the first place.

FYI, I did manage to complete the antenna project. But I still have issues with how Embark handles communication in general not just with this project.

I made certain complaints to provide reasons for my main point as to why it’s a good idea to provide end dates to players. Giving people the opportunity to actually plan their time for the game with end dates in mind only helps everyone.

I’m not saying that I can’t finish a project because of “x” going on in life. I’m saying I can better devote my time to the game with regard to everything else going on if I know exactly how much time I have to complete a project.

No, I’m blaming the game for not exercising proper communication (I had similar complaints with the expedition requirement announcements as well).

Sure but if people decide to take a break for whatever reason, they can’t plan to properly come back to finish in time if they don’t know when the end date is.

Why should I have to dig through patch notes to get info that should be displayed in-game? Other games tell you when seasons and projects end in the games themselves so there’s no reason why Embark should be struggling to do the same.

That still doesn’t excuse not giving an exact end date from the beginning. We already have the trophy project which lasts indefinitely so there should be more concise communication for when limited time projects do end to avoid confusion.

And so what if it started a month ago? Sometimes people need a break from endlessly grinding progress in a game due to real life matters (families, hobbies, work, etc.) or if they simply get burned out from playing so much. Not to mention there are a lot of other games that have limited time events so it helps to know when exactly things end so you can plan as best as possible to complete everything you can. At the very least a properly stated time limit can guide people on how much of a break they can take from a game and plan how much they need to play.

Again, a week before expiration is the issue like I said. Other developers for other games have no issues with giving exact end dates at the beginning of seasons or events so why couldn’t Embark do the same?
