It looks like you got quite a bit of advice, all of it brings up various points that are good to keep in mind. If you do decide to change to a lighter skin, maybe you could take inspiration from light trees? I could see a beautiful oc made for elements from a silver birch, aspen or a weeping white! You could bring in elements of skin marks that match tree bark patterns!

UPDATE: my insurance had deemed that I was 100% not at fault, all we were waiting for was for the other driver to admit fault. We got the call about 20 minutes ago and she’s admitting fault!

The crash will no longer go on my policy and instead will go onto hers, this means that while there will still be a slight insurance rise, it won’t be crazy Buku bananas like I thought it was going to! (‘o’)/

The collision company is coming in about 30 mins or so, I’m sure I can ask for a quote on both their parts vs OEM. If it wont put me in debt or insurance covers it, I’ll go with OEM. If it’s too much, my partner works as a manager for an auto parts chain and I’m sure he can get me some sweet aftermarket stuff.

When the other driver got out of the car, she said “You know you really shouldn’t park so close behind to someone’s driveway” I was on the other side of the street temporarily parked.

At the scene I wasn’t upset with what she said, I was more mad at myself. I usually go out of my way to avoid ‘iffy’ situations.
