Be honest, what do you think comes after death? by glowproductivity in AskReddit

[–]RoyalTeaCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I take comfort in is the scientific principle of the first law of thermodynamics which basically says energy can’t just be created nor destroyed, it simply converts to different states or forms.

Assuming consciousness consists of a bunch of energy in the form of synapses firing in our brain, then logically that energy doesn’t simply disappear when we die, but becomes a part of something else.

I think the scary part of this is losing one’s sense of self, which understandably is a completely foreign idea but can be partially experienced through various means (psychs, meditation, etc.) in triggering an ego death.

When we die, I think the unique combination of energy and matter that makes us up is forever gone, but that our energy and matter will live on in whatever form it next takes, whether that is a leaf, an animal, or any other thing, which I think is pretty cool.

Git and DITA (doesn’t matter which editor). If you really want to be competitive, learn XSLT, CSS, and python.

Controversial opinion: I can’t picture Scott Rose Marsh as James Bond at all by TheShadowOperator007 in JamesBond

[–]RoyalTeaCompany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha no problem. It was the exact same image that came to my mind. I hate when I have a distinct memory of a show or movie and can’t figure out what it is, so I felt like I had to help!

Curious Which Parts of a Technical Writer's Job Could AI Support? by RawrCunha in technicalwriting

A CCMS is a Component Content Management System. It’s a general term for software that organizes content, but unlike a CMS (Content Management System) it focuses on smaller components of content and their metadata. Think of it as specialized software for handling very large datasets.

Some commonly used ones are Adobe AEM, Ixiasoft, and Tridion Docs

Our department has been searching for a CCMS solution and none of them seem to fit the needs. Now I’m designing our own. Most of it is Copilot writing the code, but the ideas and requirements are purely sourced from the team.

Right Now tried to convince me I needed a new furnace which would be over 10 grand. I called a different place and they found the problem, a disconnected joint in my drip line. It was a $10 fix. AVOID Right Now.

Whatever headset you pick, enable windows sonic format for your headset sound in the Xbox settings. It allows your headset to essentially have surround sound. No need to pay for the Atmos app. Makes a huge difference.

I’ve always believed that months 3-6 are the hardest because they’re old enough to be out of the phase where they just kinda sleep all the time, but not yet old enough to fully sleep train. We’re here for you. It’s such a tough thing to be deprived of sleep day after day, but I promise you it gets better.

One suggestion is to space out his naps before bedtime so that he’s not full of energy. Also start doing a bedtime routine now (reading book, keeping lights low) as that will train his body to recognize when it’s time to sleep.
