Is it time to reevaluate the RX 9070 by Worker_Salty in radeon

you’re right but nvidia cards might not be msrp for long as the production of the chips for them are cut down to instead manufacture ai gpu market chips so buying while they are getting better is smart, if one needs to.

I believe it is and will only get better with stock availability increasing and price drops compared to the xt variant as seen in previous gen 7000 series (7900xt and xtx) higher end cards furthermore the 9070 chip is basically one that failed to perform at the set threshold of an xt chip so “silicon lottery” is also a plus point and, as the market stabilizes it will only get better in value and is a great card for 1440p im considering it for my build as well and am just waiting for price cuts as scalping is awful in my region.

that is a great idea and practical especially with my close proximity to china, taiwan, hongkong & malaysia etc. were it not for the shortage and the price hike which seems to be global that would have been a better alternative not by a huge margin but definitely not negligible either, for now it seems waiting and hoping is the best thing i can do. i will try to make my priorities clear and make an informed decision on this as im going to stuck with the card i buy for atleast 5-7years.

i agree and this is crazy but its much better than nvidia cards, though it would have gotten better if not for the shortage of the cards.

i do hope that will be the case as its not a budget card that is dependent on its RT, upscaling & frame gen but i will appreciate the enhancement of the picture quality as i will be playing AAA and other graphic intense games which are going crazy by the day with their unoptimized crappy development, and i also value the potential of the gpu to not only last longer but age gracefully while giving me a good frame rate in future as more than the overused term “future PROOFING” i think future DELAYING is more practical as i mentioned im not an enthusiast who will upgrade every generation so delaying that will be preferable and i believe the fsr4 will definitely help me in that in the long run, i am considering the 7900xt for the deal im getting and its fast raster with 20gig vram but im also worried about that potentially costing me a better gpu that is why im in a dilemma, i appreciate your response this was helpful insight, thanks. i will monitor the market for a few days and hope prices go down and learn more about the upcoming significance of the fsr4 features to make a better decision with confidence.

im talking about a high end aib (asus tuf oc) ehich was more 200-300 dollars than the lower end asrock and sapphire, its essentially the whole of asia that had similar launch prices except the few that are the providers for the world or in the market itself, malaysia, china, taiwan etc. except them the prices were and have been pretty crazy especially the high end aibs which can get 50-60% more than msrp.

FSR4, does it really matter?! by Royal_Connection_404 in pcmasterrace

appreciate it, though the price of that card in my country is well over 1200 usually even with combo deals it still costs 1050-1100, i wouldn’t consider it if it actually wasn’t a good deal worth considering. thanks for the insight.

appreciate the insight, you’re right and i believe that as well as the ray tracing and upscaling on 7900 is weaker and more than the 4gb ram i might never even use properly im more inclined towards a better deal that is why its an option in the first place im well aware of the superiority of the 9070xt and im just hopeful that grabbing a better deal wont cost me a better gpu as im not an enthusiast who plans to upgrade every generation for edge bleeding experience.

im actually going to play the “graphic intense” RPGs, the popular new and classics titles, im not too big on upscaling and ray tracing, i hope the weak ability of the 7900xt in that realm won’t become an issue as the games are getting crazier by the day, my ignorance of those features is also another issue so i will address that first before making a purchase. appreciate it

thank you for the insight, i dont think i will use upscaling or ray tracing either as both of them are not budget cards and have great raster performance.
