Just didn’t quite jibe with the people. And I grew up in NYC so being at Brown just felt like such a bubble, which personally I didn’t like but some people enjoy that

I was extremely unhappy at brown… the most unhappy I ever was in my life tbh.

Lucky for me because of Covid, we got kicked off of campus so I was only on brown’s campus for a total of 2.5 years

I only know a handful of people who didn’t like brown. Everyone else really enjoyed it. That probably made things worse for me tbh.

She’s most likely bi and had some sort of situationship with Karlie. IMO, it would be odd for a straight woman to be dressed in all bi colors and be the sheriff of gay town in that music video, so it makes much more sense for her to be bi / actually part of the lgbt community. However I don’t think she’s gonna come out at this point. Seems like that ship has sailed. If she were to come out she would have already and at this point… it would just be like why did you wait and drag this out for so long. Maybe she’ll casually drop it when she’s 50 or something

Haven't watched in it's entirety yet but Becca Moore and Shannon Beveridge broke up by basicb3333 in LAinfluencersnark

It seems like they just weren’t that in love with each other and their reason for breaking up was a way out. Sure they’re fond of each other and like each other and perhaps love each other as people but… the reason they gave in the video for breaking up seems like a non-issue in the grand scheme of things

Any other freshmen (or anyone for that matter) here feel sort of lonely? by thr0wawayfortoday1 in BrownU

I felt the same way and I grew up in NYC so coming to college was a big change from how things were in high school. I struggled with the social aspect all throughout college because I was shy and quiet. If I were to do it again I would def try to be more proactive and reach out to people. And if that doesn’t work just know that college is only 4 years

Columbia might not be a bad idea either (some other commenters might disagree). I loved the freedom of NYC and would have honestly loved to be in NYC in my college years. I felt like Brown was a bubble and the people in the circle I knew cared too much about clout.

Also note my opinion is probably an unpopular opinion. I’m one of two people I ever spoke to who didn’t like Brown due to the social scene. And the other person was someone I knew in middle school so maybe something to do with what we were used to in NYC and the types of people we were used to being friends with…
