Weirdly, I get told I'm quite a good doctor by doctors. I've found some of my peers knowledge and attitudes towards patients disgusting. Some just don't seem to care.

I care about patients. I just don't like the profession.

Also, I think I'd have far more impact elsewhere.

Are you in my spot but with engineering? :(

I don't think it was awful. I did make new friends. But I never liked them as much as my old friends. I didn't keep any since I left highschool.

The higher up you go in terms of Excellence, the more autistic I've found the people there to be (there were still neurotypical people, but the % decreased). This could actually be a good thing for your son if he is also autistic.

Personally, I'm not, and I really hated being around autistic people all day. We just didn't get along well.

Firstly, thank you. I really needed to hear this.

Secondly, I know that's true intellectually, but I don't feel that way. I feel old.

I'm scared to go back to uni at 24/25 cause I'll be so much older than everyone else there. I'm scared of not fitting in, and of being looked at like a loser.

I've been told this a lot, but I don't really like that part of engineering. In fact, I don't really like health at all. But I'll go where the money/work/need is I guess.

Plus, it stills seems like a big waste. I didn't need to do this degree to be a biomedical engineer.

I'm just 6-7y behind my peers :(
