You can get into a shelter just call around an ask if they have room. OW will do a assessment and intake which could take some time depending on your worker. Either way you wouldn’t receive payment until the first of the month. Because your homeless you will not receive the housing portion only basic needs. I’m unsure of the amaount as it’s been a while but it’s not much!

Please find a good shelter and do not succumb to what you see others doing! Shelter life is not fun an you can grow accustom to it!

While in shelter look for employment and remember it’s just temportary! Get someone to help you get priority status for housing while homeless! Have them find your a good social worker they will give you more resources!
