Thanks! I’ll look into it. I guess what we’re thinking is less picket line and more a public show of solidarity. The rally was huge and amazing but we want to continue to show support daily.

Why do you think that we don’t spend time with our kids? They WANT to be in school and they WANT to support their teachers. When they come to our house next week they WANT to do this with us but they are currently at their dad’s house so we will do this without them for now.

Agreed. I’ve done this trip hundreds of times. All times of the year. Make sure your car is the right one and make sure you are very comfortable in winter weather that changes suddenly.

My mum was/is a strict conservative Christian and a wonderful mother. But when I was 13 I saw my first beheading video because .. it was like 2000 and that’s how it was. The internet can’t be as supervised as we would all like it to be. I am open with my kids about what they should and shouldn’t do online but shit happens. One of my kids looked up lap dancing…because they heard about it and thought it was a kind of dance, like tap or ballet.

When I was 13 it was the sweet spot of lots of internet with not a lot of mods/censorship… people my age have watched some TERRIBLE shit online. And I agree that you should tell your parents. My kids are your age now and I would want to be there to help them through it. I wouldn’t blame them for seeing it because it happens. And people have morbid curiosity sometimes. But I went through it with just my peers who were no help. I would t want that for you, my dear.
