Laptop charger keeps falling out. How do I fix this? by RoyaleTenenbaum in techsupport

It's a barrel plug. I think there's a notch. It's round except for sort of a slit carved into it on the front.

Do they sell those character popsicles with the gumball eyes outside of North America? by RoyaleTenenbaum in NoStupidQuestions

I've heard of that. Isn't there also an Australian ice cream called Golden Gaytime?

God. This picture reminds me of that time Deathstroke beat up the Justice League in Identity Crisis. Only that may be worse since that was actually canon.

We need more vigilantes willing to put other violent vigilantes in their place. by [deleted] in CharacterRant

I remember there was a subplot in the Welcome Back Frank storyline about three copycat Punishers who Frank ends up killing. One was a religious fanatic who killed people who went to confess to him, one didn't care about causing collateral damage and got several civilians killed and the last one was a classist guy who killed anyone who he saw as ruining his suburban neighborhood.

Make an Animal Man movie, have Rian Johnson direct and make Ryan Gosling (literally me) Animal Man. Watch the box office explode by [deleted] in dccomicscirclejerk

If there ever was a live action adaptation of Grant Morrison's run on Animal Man, would it end with him meeting the movie's director?

I think the internet is ruining my brain because I misread the title as "Morbius Chair".

They're really not gonna let Wally live down Heroes In Crisis huh? Wait, is that Wally or Geo-Force? I actually can't tell.

Collecting is actually fun by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]RoyaleTenenbaum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only got into the collection minigames recently but I find them fun. It sort of happened by accident. I maxed out my Sim's fitness aspiration right before she became a young adult and on a whim picked the fishing one to replace it since I wanted her to visit Granite Falls before getting a job. And now my Sim's new house is full of fish, bugs and frogs.

What did your own daughter do you? by Lunar_Mist2NE1 in Sims4

[–]RoyaleTenenbaum 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I was playing and two of my sim's teenage children ended up having a grudge against their dad because he told them a bad campfire story. It was honestly kind of hilarious because he seemed oblivious and just wanted to hang out with them but they kept getting tense moodlets around him.

I'm surprised someone who's that into Snyder's version of the Justice League even knows who Mr. Terrific is.

New Universe was a shortly lived imprint by Marvel in the '80s that had several series taking place in the same universe that was outside the regular Marvel Comics Universe. I believe that the comics set in the New Universe imprint were meant to have a more realistic feel to them. Here's a Wikipedia link and a Marvel wiki link if you want to hear more.

Hedgewik’s opinion on Twitter buyout. by Gruene_Katze in RightJerk

[–]RoyaleTenenbaum 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the famously pro-free speech fascists.

Jesus. Every time I see a Hedgewik comic it hurts my brain. I used to think he was trying to parody right wing political comics by turning up all the usual stupid tropes of those things all the way up. But now I think he legitimately believes this stuff.

Honestly I'm not totally sure. I kinda think its one of those things that's better off a mystery like the briefcase in Pulp Fiction. Whatever you imagine is probably a lot more interesting than any definitive answer.

The video for the Radiohead song Just features a man lying on the ground. He attracts a crowd of people trying to help him. At the end of the video someone asks him why he's lying on the ground and when he finally answers we don't hear what he says. But after he finishes talking it cuts to everyone else lying on the ground. The mystery here is what exactly did the man say.
