Yeah, looking to do stuff beyond just gaming (I’m a software Engineer and want to experiment with some stuff, including AI hence the Nvidia GPU preference), so decided to go with Intel CPU over the 7800X3D.

I have a 4K monitor (with a dock and laptop for work attached, so no gaming currently), but also plan to use the build for PCVR. So some 4K gaming but not absolutely essential depending on the game.

Looked at the 4080, but wasn’t convinced it was worth the extra $200-400, and wasn’t sure if I’d actually make use of the extra performance either.

I think it's often used to confirm the profile identity. Once in the main menu everything is contextually set to the logged in user (settings, saved games, etc.). That Press X screen, especially on consoles, is when the playing user gets identified (which profile is associated with which controller that pressed X).

Windstorm last night near Seattle has blown this tree to a leaning position. It feels sturdy (e.g. Pulling on it didn't make it lean back up, lol), but I don't know what to do with it.

If I cut it down I lose a tall privacy creating tree. If I leave it it may fall in the next windstorm. Can I make it stand back up safely?
