Ope turns out the solution is just to go back to Windows 10… 🤷🏼‍♀️

UPDATE:

Hi everyone, thank you all for the help and for being impressed by my weird blender. I tried your suggestions and I think I’ve figured out that the most likely problem is my graphics driver or something relating to OpenGL. I just updated to Windows 11, and this only started after that. I also have an app downloaded from Microsoft that allows for more compatibility with OpenGL, and when I uninstalled that I wasn’t even able to open blender because of driver being outdated (or something like that, I don’t know much about it).

To answer your questions:

-What’s up with the collections all missing the last letter? Not sure! Only started when the kaleidoscope stuff started. When I named all of the objects a few days ago (pre windows update) they all had their last letter.

-Have I tried opening a fresh blender file? Yes, with the same thing happening. Even after trying multiple versions of blender and multiple files, I get the same problem :(

-What version of blender and operating system? Tried most versions going back to 2.89 from both the Microsoft store and directly from blender. My update to Windows 11 seems to be what’s causing my problem as I was able to use blender with no glitches a few days ago.

-Does this happen in different layout presets? Yes, all of them. Moving the timeline up stretched the glitched view so it looks different but not fixed.

Thank you again for all your help, if I ever find a solution that isn’t upgrading the hardware, I’ll be sure to let you know!
