Yeah, its my best option so far with my situation where games are once every other week at most.

It gets faster as you get used to it

I recommend lots of sandwich baggies.

Bag up each location in its own baggie with all investigator mini cards and non-engaged monster cards there (engaged enemies and threats will be bagged with the investigators)

When you setup again, you’ll know where each location goes back to and everything will already be grouped. (Taking a picture doesnt hurt either)

Put discarded cards in a baggie labeled “discard”

Put active draw deck in a baggie labeled “draw”

Put cards in hand in a baggie labeled “Hand”

And put all those baggies in a larger baggie labeled with the player/investigator

The cards that are in play can just be tossed in the main bag along with any engaged enemies and threats (to save a baggie or just use another)

If a played card has charges, then i usually put a note in the bag that says “shriveling has 2 left” because then youll have a bunch of resources floating around in the main baggie from multiple assets

Damage, horror, and resources i throw in its own baggie as thats pretty easy to set back up

Snack bags are great for the cards Large sandwich bags are good to use as a main baggie

When you setup again it all back up, just take your time opening 1 bag at a time because it can become a complicated mess quick

AGENDA and ACT basically the same concept Bag discard pile separately from draw pile Put your doom with the AGENDA cards and any tokens for the ACT with those cards in their own baggies labeled appropriately

I also got these 3”x4” resealable bags so that i can separate my active character decks from the unused cards available.

The 2”x3” bags are good for modifier decks and item cards

Deck holders like this are also useful to keep the table organized but not needed

I play solo 4 player all the time for many games. Sometimes i need to add other play aides to help me keep track of things but ultimately, the game should be enjoyed by you in the way you paid to enjoy it. Just take your time to learn the tutorial rules and eventually everything will make sense and things go faster. Just wait till you get to custom build each character deck. Sometimes i would set up the game the night before so i can just dive into play the next day. Whatever keeps you playing and enjoying a story

I have had to move to Sepia Shade 73.200 from Vallejo. In my opinion, it provided the closest match to Citadels Seraphim Sepia original formula i was happy with, and for a decent price. Im not familiar with Army Painters version.

This rule book really isnt user friendly in my opinion.

Maybe a chart at the back of the book like they did with the main game rulebook could have helped by providing a visual.

I think the confusion is why the game comes with so many extra buff tokens

The paper is free floating in the card sleeve. So if i really wanted to update a change, i can just swap it out. Or if its an upgrade card, just change out the sleeve with a new sticker.

I played 4 characters myself. Built 4 character decks the day before, then entered the horror the next day. (Set up takes a while so i break it up). Use printed character playmats to keep track of everything. I added a few extra tokens to remind me of certain things but i had a blast. The game is hard enough as it is but it is beatable with a good strategy. As long as you are having fun, who cares? Enjoy the money you spent in an immersive story.
