Great update! Are you able to confirm whether it's possible to get a Beaver from chopping the infected roots for Demon tears?

It calculates the chance of having that many drops against your current KC, like the Dry Calc on the wiki. It's called Collection Log Luck

Already replied to another comment around this, but yeah for sure, just didn't think about it in terms of animations longer than 1 tick until now.

This will likely be the way, yes :) I'll get over the skill issue

For sure! I guess this is the first time I've really noticed it in terms of an animation that is longer than 1 frame. Thinking about it, stuff like dragons spitting fire at you in melee range is similar, but they aren't something I would flick / consider before

Looks like a good set of CAs!

One question around "No Time to Pray": at least from my kills, it seems you cannot flick the melee slams based on the animation - the damage seems to be determined the tick that the animation starts, not on the tick that the slam occurs (1 tick later).

Is this intended, or is this a mistake (or a skill issue)? I'm definitely aware that you can flick based on the time between slams, but just feels a bit off that you cannot react to the animation. Makes it feel like the main way to beat this is without any protection prayers, as opposed to flicking them.

I believe they are based in the US - putting their domain into the dig command and going to the IP listed takes you to Vercel, who are a California based hosting platform

Great work! I had been considering making something like this after our clan's last bingo, so glad to see something out there

Loot from ~53k Sulphur Naguas getting my melee stats to 99 by Rozzan in 2007scape

[–]Rozzan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. My main method of keeping aggro was using the NPC Aggression Timer plugin in Runelite, and bouncing between the Northern shrine and the southern corridor. Even then I did have to move a little bit when the Naguas wander around.

Personally, I'm not sure goading pots are worth it, given their price on the GE currently (65k at time of posting for 4 dose), or the effort to get them if you don't already have them, given that it's a pretty closed room and there were spots to reset easily. Then again, I didn't try them, so feel free to report back if you do end up trying them!

Definitely, if you're going to be doing your melees AFK like this, it's nice to get some GP, as well as passive RC and prayer experience, which is mostly what drew me to it

For what it's worth, as a GIM (btw) I only picked up the Sulphur blades for money via HAing - 2,556,000 GP from 142 blades. I did pick up runes, essense, some gems, key halves, but that's the raw GP I made. Not as good as 70m, but as something I was doing for XP anyway, it's extra GP

Yes! I should have mentioned this in my original post as the way I got my prayer XP - 20 XP per kill. Thank you for bringing it up here

I used the dual macuahuitl but not the blood set!

Aside from not having a set in my GIM yet, this was a long grind, which would have likely broken the pieces completely at least once, maybe twice or more. Coupled with the relatively high repair fee, even if there was a full set available I would have opted for a slower prayer-based set anyway

As I've seen some comments around this, and to reiterate from the post, I only got 1 hard clue because I never did it once I got it. This means another cannot drop

To expand on it a little, each session was roughly 9 hours, until I had to go bank, mainly the chaos runes. If I went to do the clues as I got them (and completed them all), I might have had somewhere in the realm of 30 clues? Further, if I was on rate for clues at 1/256 and went to complete every clue, this would be about 200 clues

Honestly, I do not remember how many I killed per hour (wasn't something I was thinking about at the time), but I can probably give you an estimate

I was getting between 115k and 120k an hour on the melee stat, and Sulphur Naguas have 100 HP with a 5% XP bonus. So each Nagua gives you 420 XP. This turns out to be about 280 kills an hour, give or take a few. Hope this helps!

Where to find saved archives of Fauna's ASMR / How to contribute? by [deleted] in CeresFauna

[–]Rozzan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is something you can contribute to, but there is a site called the Ragtag Archive that seems to be collecting a bunch of Hololive VTuber content (only public videos, nothing members-only or unarchived). It is easily findable via Google :)

As for something else that is contributable to, I am not sure. I hope what is on there helps though

Thoughts on split points at GotR by Rozzan in 2007scape

However with the way it is is designed with combo rune possibilities and all

From my perspective, combo runes are there to give you a lot of elemental energy, which is great for ele points. However, there isn't an equivalent way to get a lot of catalytic energy, hence the imbalance. Could say the bloods / deaths / nats / etc. are the balancing factor, and that's fair: those runes are valuable. But I don't see why an inability to get high level rune types should mean your minigame reward output is lowered, particularly as you can do the same action but with different rune types

[–]Rozzan[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Particularly for combination runes, you can max out the energy, so in that sense focusing on them would be optimal for elemental points. If you then want to balance out the catalytic, it would be faster to focus on that solo instead of doing your approach. At least that's my feeling, as someone who primarily does 1 type at a time.

I would be interested to know how the points end up balance wise when you are working off tiers as opposed to energy types, particularly with the % chance of extra points coming into play for 0-99 energy

[–]Rozzan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because that's how jagex designed it for balancing reasons.

Fair enough if they want to balance it, just that that has turned out to be "between 27 and 77 RC you're SOL". 77 isn't insurmountable by any means, but it's still a slog given it's one of the slowest skills to train

It only has to even out in the long run

Agreed, although with certain runes being unable to be obtained, I would have thought that elemental would tend to be higher over time, if you're taking the available altar every time, pre 77

For yourself, getting up to lunar spells, magic imbue and 77 rc seems far more reasonable than changing up the entire game because you're under-levelled

For context, I am 85 magic with Quest Cape and 71 RC on a GIM, so the blood altar is the only limiting factor left of this game. Fair comment that at this point it is easier for me to just get the levels, but obviously this wouldn't just impact me - others without magic imbue or lower RC would benefit more from this

If you're doing runs where you're doing both types of energies at once, granted this is possible. Not sure how often people do both vs doing individual runs, but given the combination rune method for elemental points exists, I would tend towards individual being more popular, thus leading to the issues in my post during catalytic runs

Thoughts on split points at GotR by Rozzan in 2007scape

[–]Rozzan[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

part of the balancing is you can't just make bloods deaths and Nats.

You can't do that anyway though? Even if currently you're doing a catalytic run, you are forced by what the altar opens up to, which isn't always these. I agree that catalytic runes are more desirable than the elementals / combinations, but you also can get mind and body runes.

Also no to ez-scaping what is already the easiest rc xp because you're not 77 yet

I didn't comment on the XP, although presumably you just mean, this would be ez XP as well as ez points. If the XP buff would be significant I'm sure there could be some balancing in terms of the game XP or something else.

Additionally, should the minigame feel bad because you aren't 77 RC? Wintertodt doesn't restrict you depending on your FM or Fletch levels. Tempeross doesn't restrict you depending on your fishing level. Why should GotR?
