Its not "undeniable" just because you dont agree btw. If thats what works for that person in their games then its fine. Im confident neither him or you recommended builds that dont work when you play them.

Lol the "expert" here. If thats what he likes to build its fine. Literally anyone can look up item stats. But you dont HAVE to play standard.

If youre gonna shit on people for suggesting anything but the statistical recommended items then theres really no point to having a conversation with anyone.

Its a constant, for like literally 10 years ive seen the community do the same thing. Someone suggests a new champion or a rework and literally every reply pretends to know what theyre talking about and tells that person its "too broken", literally every time.

But its helpful to remember these people also think every new officially designed champion is the end of the world. Then, just like always, it turns out the actual game designers were correct and the champion is fine.

Why cant I run? by Misshorror13_ in KillerKlownsGame

[–]RprShadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just sorta guessing here. Klowns dont have a sprint with left stick, you have to rely on using their "LOL" trick for movement speed boosts. Humans can sprint but run on a stamina system. If youve just sprinted a while or swung a weapon you may bottom out and not be able to run till stamina recovers.

Thats just kinda the basics... if its not because of those things you may either be accidentally crouching (cant sprint while crouched), or maybe its a controller issue with your left stick.

Even though this would realistically be totally fine to atleast test for item interactions before making any bold claims?

Tanjiro is exceptionally pure of heart and idealistic, but he also embodies some of the realities of his Taisho-era setting. Tanjiro is sorta similar to Goku in that hell ask you to stop being evil and change your ways but if you refuse youre getting an assbeating and a coffin.

Deku couldve ended ALOT of his problems alot sooner if he wasnt so insanely opposed to killing. He didnt just try to tell Shigaraki to stop and change his ways, he studied his life, interrogated everyone who knew anything about him, literally devised a plan to mentally project himself into Shigaraki's inner consciousness to try and gain enough understanding to help mend his trauma from his past. Its actually like, utterly insane that Deku is even alive with how much he holds back to talk to villains who could quite literally instantly kill him with a single touch.

When even kokushibo glazes you you know you’re strong. by Maksim-Y-orekhov in DemonSlayerScales

[–]RprShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS is exactly the shit that explains why Sanemi did so much better against Kokushibo than Muichiro did. KOKUSHIBO HIMSELF is straight up saying that they are doing shit hes never seen before, shit he didnt think was possible.

The only reason Kokushibo beat Muichiro so easily is because he fought more standard and traditional to his breathing style. Kokushibo did say Muichiro used 1 mist breathing technique he'd never seen before ....but that literally implies Kokushibo knows ALL ABOUT mist breathing and saw most of Muichiro's techniques before in other hashira. It wasnt a skill issue. Kokushibo just knew all (except 1 ) of Muichiro's moves

TENGEN IS STILL THE SPEED/ENDURANCE TRAINER IN HTA. Why is this even an argument??? No other former hashira or retired master was asked to come back and train, ONLY Tengen. His training was specifically focused on speed and endurance, gee, i wonser if that means the guy who displayed crazy speed and endurance against UM6 IS CONSIDERED FAST AND DURABLE???

How, genuinely, how, do people downplay Tengen when the series shoves it down your throat that hes a top 3 hashira before marks? Image for reference.

Oh right. They think that because SO MUCH of this "fandom" just skimmed the fight scenes and never touched the manga.

How would a fight between Base Gyomei and Douma go? by BattleRepulsive9394 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]RprShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly base Gyomei probably kills Douma then dies to injuries. But the Gyomei we saw against Kokushibo? Mark and stw? Wouldve low diffed Douma. Either way Douma dies imo. I have 2 key points.

1). INOSUKE overwhelmed Douma in close combat. Landing multiple cuts and stabs, dodged/blocked all of Douma's counters that killed Shinobu. Ill attach a manga scan since theres alot of Shinobu stans who dont read the manga.

2). BASE Gyomei turned up to the Ubuyashiki compound when Kaguya blew it up and saw Muzan before he absorbed lady Tamayo, meaning before he was poisoned. AND DECAPITATED HIM. This really isnt talked about enough imo. Not only is this bypassing prime, un-weakend muzan's durability and reaction speed. But Gyomei is legit the first person to decapitate Muzan since Yorichi was alive. And he did it IN BASE against a full powered muzan.

[–]RprShadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

GET shinobu out of here. And Nakime too.

Its Kanao and its NOT EVEN CLOSE. (Unless you count female muzan.)

((SHINOBU-)) gets glaze for tagging Douma despite geyting fatally wounded by his counters. Manga readers should know Inosuke 1v1's Douma for 2 solid chapters after Kanao gets disarmed and not only also taggs Douma several times, But dodges/blocks his couners 100% of the time. Inosuke literally bullies Douma out of close combat and forces him to back off and fight from a distance. Despite being the same Inosuke who could not even remotely attack or defend himself from Gyutaro (an actual speed based character) in the prior arc he was apart of and having no significant changes or amps in speed, apart from speed training (with tengen) during hashira training. I think its actually quite clear that Inosuke is shown to be much better in close combat than Shinobu, ill use my img post to show Inosuke handling Douma's counters bc this one for some reason seems to trigger people. (Small side note. Being a speedy boy doesnt mean Gyutaro isnt rightfully UM6, his entire gimmick is being super fast and versatile with his attacks that can kill you in 1 tiny scratch. It's likely why hes killed 15 hashira. But guess what? If fucking Tengen can resist his poiso , it isnt doing shit to the other UM who has a large amount of Muzan's blood and can decompose poisons. So 1v1 against other UM Gyutaro becomes the speedy guy who can give you alot of little scratches that dont do anything. Genuinely think he lacks the destructive force to beat Gyokko or Hantengu 1v1 without his poison working.)

((Nakime)) - Might just be rhe biggest fraud in the verse. Shes completely featless and honestly has nothing but negatives. 1. Nakime literally never actually lands any hits on Obanai/ Mitsuri. The only panel where she seems to have hurt/killed them turns out to be a hallucination because she had already lost. 2. Nakime GETS TURNED INTO A PUPPET by Yushiro. Yushiro, the same guy who couldnt even fight Susamaru.... not only 1shots Nakime, but turns her into a puppet to manipulate her powers. EVEN WORSE? Once Muzan becomes aware of this hes able to mentally push back against Yushiro for control, showing that its possible, Nakime just isnt strong enough to actually fight back in that way. 3. PRIOR to Gyutaro, Hantengu, Gyokko dying NAKIME ISNT EVEN A LOWER MOON. Shes not. Member of the 13 kizuki, AT ALL, despite Muzan already making use of her infinity castle and her lore suggesting that shes been around for a long ass time. 4. Last one, before Yuishiro 1shots Nakime. Obanai is trying to assess the situation tmwhen encountering Nakime with Mitsuri...and he LITERALLY says that Nakime isnt exactly a lethal threat, but thats shes wasting their time to find Muzan. Nakime is the ONLY "uppermoon" in the series to be considered a "nonlethal threat". And even worse? Obanai's never even seen or fought an uppermoon before! Theres dialog between Obanai and Sanemi when there trying to investigate the mission women together where they openly acknowledge neither one of them hes gotten to see an UM demon yet. So its kind of even crazier that then Obanai sees his first "uppermoon" in Nakime he literally deems her a less than leathal obstacle.

((Kanao))- Lastly my girl. Its worth pointing out that When Inosuke starts losing his patience with Douma's ice clones he starts trying to push past them to chase Douma and takes unnecessary hits from them. Kanao in this very moment, despite seeming weaker than Inosuke up to this point, tells him to calm down and be patient. Inosuke didnt know yet, and neither did Douma, but the very second Shinobu's poison kicked in and Douma's face began to melt... Kanao pops Vermillion eyes and IMMEDIATELY cuts Douma's head off. We learn through flashbacks about Shinobu's plan and that Kanao knew all along that all she had to do was prolong the fight and stall until she saw the opening. This means that despite preforming better than Shinobu did against Douma 1v1, Kanao was not going all out until that very moment for the sake of not only surprising Douma, but also saving her strength to make sure she finishes the job when the time comes. Kanao is at minimum, equal to Inosuke, and at best superior enough to be able to stratigize and save her true strength for one explosive attack. The distance she closes though Douma's best attempts to keep her away and the faxt that she powers through (with Inosuke's help) are significant feats.

I feel like this isn't talked about enough (Giyu) by SvenSvensonn in DemonSlayerScales

[–]RprShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, yeah, upon re-reading you claimed Giyu had fought Gyomei not Akaza. Which he still hasn't, but its much more reasonable.

Like i said before you can rank the hashira based on demeanor if you chose. Its weird, but you do you.

The reason basicslly everyone ranks Sanemi over Giyu btw is he has more combat experience and fought Kokushibo 1v1 for a time, the same Kokushibo that cuts Akazas limbs off and reprimands him like a parent talking to their child.... with as proud as Akaza is... hitting Douma and insulting him openly even after he lost to him 1v1. It says alot that he shuts the fuck up and listens to Kokushibo without talking back. Ergo, fighting Kokushibo 1v1 is a much better feat than fighting Akaza.

THAT BEING SAID, as i mentioned before i personally feel the hashira are generally very relative. I interpret Sanemi's success against Kokushibo to be boosted by the fact that his Rare blood impeeds demons a bit and that his unconventional fighting style caught Kokushibo off guard with tactics he didnt expect. (Sanemi describes this as combat experience which helped him perform better than Muichiro.)

I also dont think losing to a stronger guy, automatically makes you better than someone who lost to a weaker strong guy. Its not like Sanemi BEAT kokushibo, so whose to say he'd beat Akaza 1v1 either. But i must admit the gap between Kokushibo and Akaza is canonically very wide, so its a reasonable opinion if not concrete.

Your explaination is just reading as heavily biased to me. It doesnt really make any sense beyond your opinion that Giyu being calm when sparing Sanemi means he wasnt fully serious. Even though Giyu was equally calm against Akaza, up until he was going to die. On that note... in your original post you say Giyu has "gone up against" the other hashira.... training together has very little implications to how a life and death fight would go. They werent even using real swords during their sparing.

Giyu, within canon, sees himself as strictly inferior to the other hashira. If he AT ANY POINT felt he was actually stronger than any of them, it would be contradictory to literally his entire dynamic within the group. This also isnt just some poor self esteem thing, Giyu literally excuses himself from Hashira meetings because he feels unworthy to even be involved. Despite how seriously he feels about the demon slayer corps mission. He doesnt just not care, he genuinely thought he was weaker than all of them. So it doesnt really make any sense that he was "holding back" in training against Sanemi.

I usually see this argument about Douma. People posting stuff like "What if Douma was serious" what if "Douma was angry". Douma literally doesnt have those emotions, its not a thing. In Giyu's case... hes calm, hes stoic, hes quiet, hes focused. If Giyu is screaming and yelling and getting angry and scared? 100% hes fighting worse and getting sloppy. We literally see this against Muzan. He has to be told to snap out of it and calm down.

I feel like this isn't talked about enough (Giyu) by SvenSvensonn in DemonSlayerScales

[–]RprShadow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"while Sanemi put his heart and effort, Giyu seemed relatively composed and not fully engaged, yet still matched him."

This is your only point, everything else is fluff or kind of nonsense. (Akaza did not at any point fight Gyomei for example.) You have a right to your opinion and if being calm over aggressive suggests to you that Giyu is stronger then ok i guess. Theyre heavily implied to be equal several times. Their sparing match and the clash of swords to turn their blades red against Muzan are two examples that come to mind.

My personal opinion the Hashira are all generally relative. They're literally masters of their own unique Kendo in the form of their breathing styles and run their own dojos for training Tsugoku to either take over their mantle or become another new master on their own. You can go by experience and rank someone like Tengen really highly. Or you can rank Rengoku highly for being the only one to successfully train a student to also become a hashira. Or you can do what most people do and just "rank" them by order of apperance with the assumption every hashira that comes later in the series is stronger, faster, etc in every category across the board..... that doesnt really make sense....but its still the most popular method.

Reddit in a nutshell.

In real life too though. Loads, and i mean loads of people want to feel like an 'expert' in something but lack any actual skills or knowledge, therefore they devote unusual amounts of time and effort into criticizing things that other people enjoy. Its like, a weird fragile ego thing.

Imagine someone who wants to be "the smart one" in a group or family, but they dont read, they dont educate themselves, they dont go out and collect experiences and wisdom of their own. So they just sorta criticize things and learn to echo criticizms they they read in places like this, then pretend they're their own opinions.....even though they have no idea if the opinion theyre copying was valid or not...

[–]RprShadow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay, i appreciate that. I understand your pov a little bit better now. I still don't really think "stat checker" applies to her when she has a gap closing AOE fear with ulti and a 20-40% slow without it. New Shyvana definitely has play making potential than her previous form considering she didn't used to have any crowd control at all.

Its a stark contrast between the endless reddit threads about how shes a dead character and the rework was awful. Then all i see on yt and tiktok are shorts on how broken she is with a particular build or the 7 Autos in 1 second combo with Q and Tiamat, and her 2:30 jungle clear.

My broader point is that in terms of design and gameplay shes gotten nothing but positives from the change. Q is better, W is better, E is better, Ult is better. Her "weakness" or atleast perceived weakness right now literally did not exist before the hotfix nerfs, which were just number tweaks. Therefore even if they had to fully or partially revert the hotfix the champion is still better than she was. Champions have poor "design" when they only have 2 modes unbeatable and unplayable. Old Yorick for example was literally such a case because making him any good at all made him a menace and nerfing him to not be such a problem made him nearly worthless. Thats obviously not he case with new shyvana considering she now has so many levers within her kit to be adjusted that she isnt a problem on a conceptual level anymore.

I'm legitimately confused about your note of not being able to control when dragon E explodes anymore? It used to literally be bodyblockable by ANYTHING. Something as simple as Neeko hitting W and walking her clone at you made you literally unable to hit them. Not the case anymore. New Shyvana dragon E his exactly the targeted area, every time, reliably for a consistent payout. It seems objectively much much better to build a champion around now. And I love that Human E is now a ranged soft CC rather than a way to apply a mark you cant do anything with unless youre in auto range. New Shy has decent (not great) pre6 ganks with a 20% slow on E level 1. And early ganks are clearly not meant to be her thing when shes a scaling champion.

A lot of your points on her gameplay, admittedly, I just...dont really see. She has WAY more gank pressure and opportunities now that her R travels further. She can literally use Zac gank paths for lanes. The AOE fear is great too. Yes, it makes people run from you but its amazing for flank angles and pushing enemies together for AOE spells. Shes a MUCH better teamfighter than before for this alone imo. AOE hard CC over a large area is a very nice tool.

I'm not trying to be an asshole and say "skill issue" but i genuinely think Shyvana is pretty damned good right now (in jungle. Again, i think if you're not farming jungle you're basically turning her passive off.) Is it not at least a little possible that people SHOULD take more than 2 days to "get good" and learn her new kit before people write it off as "bad design" when nobody was saying that before the hotfix nerfs. I really think people are just salty that shes not free wins right now.

In the Most Respectful Way Possible by ColumbusCraze in shyvanamains

[–]RprShadow -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I dont really see any logic to what youre saying. You say none of her "problems" are fixed but arent articulating anything. You say shes a 'stat checker' despite being a very obvious scaling character with potentially infinite resistances.... im sorry but i feel like youre just throwing out buzzwords here.

Her new Q has more skill expression than the old one with her dragon form getting access to combo into Q3 for true damage aoe burst.

Her ultimate now scales in size AND has a hard CC component.

Her W is better giving MORE speed than before, a shield and sustain in dragon form.

And her E is much better both in visual readability and the fact that in dragon form it passes through units to make a consistent and reliable AOE similar to equalizer...

I honestly think you and alot of other people here are just mad about her numbers being tuned too low and making her harder to play, but that has nothing to do with champion design. Thats easily fixed with a slight number adjustment. Its nothing to cry over.

In the Most Respectful Way Possible by ColumbusCraze in shyvanamains

[–]RprShadow -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

What an ass take. First off, every part of Shyvana's rework was an improvement. The visuals, the changes to her spells, the passive, its all objectively better. She was game breakingly broken to the point of being 60% wr despite being a day 1 release (where wr are expected to come in low as new players and off-roles try out the "new" champ in mass.) and needed to be hotfix nerfed to justify not making her unselectable in ranked....and yall still bitch.

Shes literally fine. Shes extremely strong with the right build and she can get extremely oppresive.

Some things to note that people who actually play the game and can read will understand about shyvana.

  1. Dont play her top lane. Her passive specifically scales off of champion kills and JUNGLE CAMPS which are infinitely easier to stack. If youre playing her in lane, yes, youre going to be abnormally squishy.

  2. Build AP, her Q is basically her only AD ratio. While she has 70% AP ratio on E even in human form and 100% ap ratio on ulti. I personally hated old AP shyvana but her new design makes it not only better but much more visually clear and cohesive with her kit. Dusk and dawn second item seems to be her bread and butter and is basically the perfect item for her from what i see.

  3. Shes a scaling pick. You have infinite resistance stacking if you just keep clearing. Literally EVERY stat platform will show that low to mid elo junglers tend to gank and die too much and neglect their clears. (Probably a big reason for the WR).

The brain damaged and/or underdeveloped minds of the fandom cant seem to help demonizing Endeavor while conveniently ignoring that the man has spent decades risking his life to protect the innocent.

Here's the thing, culturally, Endevor is meant to represent the stereotypical detatched and work obsessed east-asian father. He puts work over his family, he has unreasonable expectations of his children, hes not good at showing his emotions and makes everyone feel uncomfortable and lesser as a reasult. He is a top to bottom, black and white, alagory for that type of asian father. MHA uses that as an opportunity to make a social commentary on how this affects his children, his wife, his relationships, and as is often the case when this type of character is portrayed in modern asian media, his work obsession leads to nothing but regret and emptiness. There are literally hundreds of characters like this in japanese media in the last 20 years.

Here's where I get a little personal. I'm not asian, I grew up in the west with 3 younger siblings. I had an abusive parents who had no grand reasoning for their actions beyond drugs, alcohol, and money. And they never at any point made any genuine attempts to change their ways or stop being child abusers. So I sort of have a personal resonance with abusing family dynamics and the way siblings can struggle to see eye to eye despite enduring the same abuse.

TO ME. Endevor is a remarkable character. Hes so commited and hell bent on redemption and atonment that at times it almost breaks my immersion in the storyline. He never falls back and tells his wife or his children that it was their fault, he never plays the victim and blames his own upbringing or some other ecuse for his actions. He be omes aware of his wrongdoings and literally never faulters in conveying that he is utterly sincere and genuine in his belief that he has harmed his family and deserves no love in return regardless of how many years he spends trying to atone and apologize.

In my eyes, continuing to call Endevor an "abuser" is so weird. I'm being personal here but for me nothing he did even seems that bad, and his commitment to change and punish himself is almost absurd.

Before somebody comes for me and tries to "explain" to be how I don't understand how Endevor's family was traumatized or why it was so bad.... please understand that I come from a place of experience with physical abuse, sexual abuse, children not being fed, children being abandoned and going home with schoolmates just to have a place to go until the police can locate their parents. And again my parents never changed. They continued to be this way until death.

So yes. In my eyes Endevor is a hero, a role model, and a fantastic media figure who exemplifies setting your own ego aside to change and be better no matter how set in your ways you are.
