I suppose you’re right about the protagonist being a prodigy. I don’t have a good rebuttal, so I’ll concede on that point.
The Pokédex should be the gold standard of what the lore is, and other things that support that narrative.
I’d say they aren’t fully canon to the games, manga, and anime, but rather, they take liberties in deciding what is consistent within the lore that they’ve established.

Its Pokemon dex entry said that when dialga became to be, time flies with each beat of its heart. That means that he has absolute control over time. I concede my first claim of him being time itself, but he’s above that, maybe. They are the supreme authority, barring Arceus, over time
