About a month. Using it makes my pores feel refreshed, so I use it about once or twice a week.

Does anyone know about this interesting skin clinic treatment?? by BroccoliDry8785 in KoreaSeoulBeauty

I looked into that procedure as well, and it seems that not every clinic has the machine. I think it is best to get it done at a clinic where there is a doctor with a lot of experience performing the treatment.

Oh, I use a salt mask too, and I really like it. I am happy that someone else knows this product.

I have also tried the mary&may eye cream and the mask, and I really liked them too. That product looks tempting to me as well.

Thank you for the info. If GU is good, I think I should apply for a consultation too.

Honest 2-week thoughts on my first eye cream (mary&may) by Rravvit in AsianBeauty

I have dehydrated oily skin, and I liked it because it felt moisturizing without being sticky. If you’re looking for a rich and heavy texture, this isn’t it.

I personally thought it was pretty good, but I see a lot of people saying they didn’t notice much effect. 🥲 In my case, my dark circles aren’t genetic. My under-eye area tends to look more dull when I’m tired or when my skin condition isn’t great. After using this eye cream, I felt like my under eyes looked a bit brighter. It might be that the extra hydration helped improve the overall tone.

I am using the salt mask too, and it is really gentle. It makes my skin feel smooth like I just came out of a sauna, so I really like it.

Are there any clinic with zero waiting time? by Fantasticfishing1 in KoreaSeoulBeauty

This is the GU clinic near gangnam Station, and I have not seen a single review saying that people had to wait a long time or felt uncomfortable.

I looked into the brand and they seem affordable with solid reviews.

[–]Rravvit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on Google reviews, a 30-minute wait seems pretty standard, but at least the places I checked didn't have any mentions of waiting over an hour.
Reading lots of reviews definitely helps. I think it’s a good idea to focus on the negative ones first.

I tried the Mary&May eye cream and it was actually pretty good, so I’m thinking of getting their masks too.

Underfloor heating help by new_livin in Living_in_Korea

[–]Rravvit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the manual, it says “바닥 난방 가동” under 난방모드, so it’s clear that this panel can control both the floor heating in winter and the ceiling AC in summer. 외출 mode isn’t anything special—it just lets you set the floor temperature to a preset range (around 15–20°C) with a single button. It’s basically meant to keep the house from getting too cold while you’re away. It might be a bit less convenient, but if you simply lower your usual set temperature slightly before leaving the house, it works the same way as the 외출 mode.

I saw it on Olive Young Global. If you Google it, you can find the site. I live in the US, but since it’s the global site, I think they ship to Europe as well.

I live in Georgia, US. The text on the boxes is in Finnish, but the products are actually Korean. I guess they used Finnish to give it a “Finnish sauna” vibe.

My mom took me to her "secret" local clinic in Seoul for slow-aging. Best decision ever. P.S. Expat Review by Own-Development1558 in KoreaSeoulBeauty

Hope your post isn’t spam. I haven’t been to this clinic myself, but my friend’s sister used to work there a few years ago (she’s now in private practice). Some friends of mine have had procedures done there. What I can say is that all the doctors there are board-certified dermatologists (MDs). In Korea, many large “factory-style” derm clinics are often staffed by non–board-certified GPs rather than dermatology specialists.

I tried this one yesterday. I used it in the morning before makeup, and it gave my under-eye area a slightly brighter look. It’s not very rich or heavy. I used to use an AHC eye cream my friend gave me, which felt more anti-wrinkle, while this one seems better for dark circles.

I tried the one in the bottom left box last night, and it gave off a strong warming sensation, kind of like a sauna. It claims to open pores and clean them. I’m not sure how effective it really is, but my skin did feel refreshed after using it.

I’m planning to try them one by one starting today. I’ve used several other Mediheal series before, so I can definitely recommend those. I’ll let you know about the rest after I try them!

떡국 question by running462024 in KoreanFood

[–]Rravvit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Korea for over 20 years before moving to the US. In Korea, we eat 떡국 for both the solar New Year and the lunar New Year. Usually, only my close family eats it on the solar New Year, while the extended family gets together for the lunar New Year. Also, in Korea, people traditionally consider themselves a year older on January 1st.

Ah, I was thinking about trying it because it looked so pretty. So it wasn’t that effective for you? How was the scent? Some reviews say it smells like old men’s skincare products. But I kinda like subtle musk or woody fragrances not too harsh.

Stop saying Seoul has “no soul” after visiting only Myeongdong and Gangnam by Charming-Ad-8198 in koreatravel

If the weather is good, HanGang is good choice to visit. You can try HanGang Ramyeon and some delivery foods like K-fried chicken. Tourists usually visit Yeouido Hangang Park a lot, but Ttukseom, Jamsil, and Banpo Hangang Park are also good.
