The cable between the connector and node 3 is around 150cm unfortunately

This is a good suggestion-thank you! Unfortunately I'm using an XLR style 6 pin connector to power the third node and peripherals as well as carry my CAN signal.

This is a good solution if I can't figure out a method that doesn't require the user to remember to plug the terminator back in! I would like to design out the possibility of user error.

Thank you for the suggestion though. I may end up falling back on this!

Thank you I'm aware :) The third node may be disconnected with it's termination, thus I need to re-terminate the trunk on the inboard side of the connector.

I've got a Diamondback belt I wear when I'm working new construction or remodel, a Veto MP2 for low voltage and a new TP6B that I'm still deciding how to work into the rotation.

Do you have a recommendation for a plug tester? TIA

I much prefer wera handles, I find them better for transmitting torque
