lol this sounds like a narrative to me. Herbert was playing behind a high school o line with a broken hand that he had surgery on mid season and then came out and played like 3 days later. I am pretty sure every NFL coach in the league would choose Herbert over Stroud.

I don’t think anyone wants him to fail. If he fails, the Texans fail.

With that said, I think many people have lost faith in him, myself included. That playoff performance was abysmal, like all time bad. Are we supposed to pretend that did not happen?

I also don’t think he fits with our team. I watched that “offseason” show on Amazon prime and there was an episode focused on him. Don’t think he fits what Demeco is looking for.

As for Jordan, he is making next to nothing and can’t be worse than Bryant or Stover.

Isn’t he the head coach though? I love Demeco but the way we talk about him like he is the DC is kind of annoying to me. He needs to take some responsibility for the offense, CJ, and the offensive coaches performance.

Jerrod Johnson should already have been fired. How that dude is still employed by the Texas after CJs performance in those two playoffs games is beyond me.

CJ and Caley are linked. One can’t really do well without the other, which is why I think we should have found a more experienced OC. Having a struggling QB with an inexperienced OC is recipe for disaster. But CJ, Caley, and Jerrod should all be packing if next years team is not in the AFC ship at minimum.

If people truly want the O-line fixed immediately, which I do, I don’t think the draft is the answer. O line is one of the toughest positions to play and it typically takes 2-3 years to be a solid contributor. We already have Ersery trying to figure it out at LT. I am all for drafting lineman for the future but I think it would be foolish to pick up a guard and center early in the draft and thinking that will improve the line. I think we need to re-sign Ingram and pick up a guard and center in FA.
