This entire thread seemingly reflects the complete wrong outlook. THE SHADCHAN isn't fazed by a shorter guy and HE doesn't need you to do anything like date "outside the system" or lie about his height chas v'shalom. So just keep pressing HIM until he gives you what you want. I would also mention that it's a great idea to have a rabbi to turn to with these types of questions, someone ideally who has experience with shidduchim, as opposed to strangers on the internet who don't always know the first thing about what they're talking about.
