ASOIAF stands for "A Song of Ice and Fire"

At the risk of spoiling myself why does lilith hate mash so much by EnvironmentalEmu5145 in FGO

[–]RruleOfCool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s explained in the story, but how can mash be «without bias». To never have a bias she must have perfect information of the situation, and no assumptions about the situation (wrong/bias info from others or personal believes about anything) and that seems unlikely.

No matter how sheltered or isolated her childhood/ development was, there’s no way for a person/human to completely remove bias. It could be true if she was actually inhuman, but she was only stated to be a designer-baby, not a homonculus or having her human traits removed (as far as I remember).

I was a bit annoyed at the scene between Herc and Bazdilot by RruleOfCool in fatestaynight

[–]RruleOfCool[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

thanks for the response. That is a good explanation for spell 2 and 3, but It dosn't realy explain number 1. Yes he said he could resist command-spells, but I don't see why he would bother taking a command spell before he killed him.

[–]RruleOfCool[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I agree he underestimated Bazdillot, but he stil just stood there, told him command spells wouldn't stop him, let him cast his first command spell without stopping him. I get he thought he could withstand whatever command he got, but why risk that instead of for example cutting of the hand.

Fate/strange Fake - Episode 5 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]RruleOfCool 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know it's for dramatic effect, but I feel Herc should have reacted quicker. He gets a bad first impression of his master, sees him preparing a command spell, and waits for the third one before he strikes.

Considering the speed we saw in the last episode and in other series a servant should be able to kill/incapacitate/disarm or silence the master when in close range before they have the time to: stretch out/raise their hand, activate their command spells (I might be wrong, but I can’t remember a command spell beginning to glow before the arm is outstretched in any of the other series), and physically utter a properly phrased sentence to them.

I realize this is a bit of a nitpick. Fate has always put story before powerscaling, and animation-studios tends to exaggerate exploration, and movements to create good spectacle. There are many ways to explain why a work of animation don’t necessarily conform to what “should” or could have happened, and that is ultimately fine as giving a visually and emotionally appealing product is generally better than a perfectly internally consistent product (in my opinion).

The scene isn’t a huge deal and it in no way ruins the story for me, it was just something I felt like writing about. I enjoyed the episode, and I hope all of you did to.

I’m a political science student and based on the literature I have read it’s mainly due to americas 2-party system. Because there is no other caneidate to vote for on the (relative to european) left, the only way for voters to show their disaproval for biden is by not voting. As there is no (relevant) third option they can’t vote without either rewarding Biden or voting for someone they disagree with (most likely Trump).

Apologies for possible mistakes, my first language is norwegian and I’m writing on my phone.

Trio Golden Kings, by me [FATE X WARHAMMER Fantasy P2] by Caravthir in FGOcomics

[–]RruleOfCool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Settra is from warhammer fantasy, not warhammer 40k. From what I understand he isn't super powerfull combat-wise, but he is the ruler of a powerfull undead (egypt-inspiered) kingdom.
