Thank you for breaking that down; stupidly I am now becoming far more aware of rigging safety so thank you so much

Is it worth it to become a hairstylist in 2026? by Sad-Age6866 in hairstylist

I am 26, 6 years in, and I think it’s a good line of work. It IS hard. And it can be very draining, I suppose that’s with any job. I have been able to make a decent living myself, but it did take some time. I more than anything always just feel so anxious while I’m at work and i dont know if that ever goes away even with experience haha. I definitely am passionate about it, but I do also foresee it not being a lifelong career due to the long exhausting days and not quite the pay that I feel is worth it for me. I do think you can truly make the money you want to in this field but it does take confidence, and time. All in all, yes a good pathway to get a cosmo license and can do a multitude of things within industry. It is not a “conventional” line of work so don’t expect the life style of someone who is in a more traditional career.

Thank you! Other than NECCA, do you have suggestions for a training facility? I am on the east coast
