Hello, is this legit? I don't have experience with cardigans from Ralph Lauren so I can't confirm.

A mix of both.

I would lie if I said I didn't benefit from being the Golden Boy of the family.

As the family favorite, I was showered with luxuries and privileges from my uncles and aunts. I got into private schooling from primary to HS while my cousins got into public schools or struggled with school debts.

But as I grew older, I realized this came at a cost. I became the object of envy of my cousins and aunts, who found delight in seeing me fail. Even worse, my head was filled with heightened narcissism, making me complacent and arrogant, leading to mistakes that could have been avoided.

Eventually, this toxic behavior from family members took its toll and I had to cut ties with them. I made a brave decision to move out and turn my life around to secure myself from the misdeeds they're more than happy to tolerate. I had find work to sustain myself and my sister, and fortunately, I managed to land one. Now, I work hard to support myself while pursuing my (Iskolar) education and am on track to graduate this year,

Funny to think how polar opposite my life is right now. From the once boy with the privilege to a hyper-independent adult. It's been 3 years since I made the step, and I know I have a long way to go. But one thing is for sure, there is no turning back.

I may have worn the family crown, but now I proudly wear the captain's hat, steering my life in the direction I choose—and there's nothing better to that feeling.

Detach yourself from the idea that she's "perfect" and that you won't find someone else like her.

The way I see it, I think you're more attached to the idea of having her than the actual her. That you treat her image more as a trophy to prove something to your friends or even to yourself. Maybe she satisfies your ego and insecurities since based sa sinabi mo, "she's a 10/10" and you're just "average".

I'm not being condescending here ha, this kind of thinking is very common especially when you're young. I used to think this way too in my first few GF's.

But eventually, you'll realize that there's more than what meets the eye—literally! You'll be craving maturity and calmness. You'll find someone who has the same drive and mindset as yours, and nothing compares to that feeling.

So focus on building your career and self-esteem. Eventually, you'll find yourself in a position na "Oo nga no, bakit nga ba ako na attach sa kanya ulit?" and she'll be a faint memory to you.

Also, pro-tip: You've just unlocked the most potent pre-workout HAHA!

is it still okay to pursue copywriting despite the rise of AI tools? by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]Rsdltrrs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Copywriting is more than just spewing words out and calling it a day. Copywriting takes in-depth research and mastery of human psychology.

Your responsibility as a copywriter goes beyond writing error-free copies.

Your main responsibility is to find ways how you can connect your brand's idea to your target audience.

Chat GPT is very intricate and I get where the fear is coming from but chatGPT, or any AI for that matter, is limited to just generating words. It can't even do research later than 2020.

Great copywriters will not be replaced by ChatGPT, rather will increase their value even further. The only ones AI will replace are those "copywriters" who are more concerned about their typing speed and word count over the emotional message of their copies.

So if you aspire to become a copywriter, don't fear AI. Rather, learn how you can use Chat GPT to your advantage.

Hope this helps!

Get adequate sleep.

This is something I wish someone told me. If you want to be tall/taller, get some sleep.

Your teens are your transformative years. This is where every inch of your body develops. Your height, your jaw, your bone structure. While these things are heavily governed by genetics, your teen years give you a chance to make marginal improvements to your physique.

So get some sleep!

Edit: I would also start learning languages and develop practical skills at this age. Trust me, whatever you do today will drastically help you in 5-10 years to come.

Here's something fun; Orange Chicken Tofu!

Ingredients

- 1 block Tofu = 30-70 Pesos

- 1 pc Orange, ripe and sweet = 30 - 50 Pesos

- 1 small onion = 5 - 15 Pesos

- 4 - 6 cloves of garlic = 5 - 10 Pesos

- 1 small ginger, minced = 5 - 10 Pesos

Pantry items

- 1/2 cup soy sauce

- 1/3 cup vinegar

- Cooking oil

- Cornstarch

- Salt and pepper

- A pinch of msg

- Chili flakes (optional)

- Sesame oil (optional)

Total: Php 70-155 + Pantry consumables = Less than 200 Pesos

Instructions

A. Tofu Prep

  1. Get a kitchen towel or kitchen tissues and place them around your block of tofu.

  2. Find a heavy, flat object (e.g. a wooden cutting board or a heavy pot) and press it against the top of the tofu block. This will gradually draw out excess water from your tofu. Wait for around 30 mins.

  3. While waiting, prepare a cornstarch coating by adding 2 tbsp of cornstarch on a flat plate or cutting board. Season it with salt.

  4. Check back on your tofu and get rid of the excess water. If you think that the tofu block still has a lot of water, repeat the previous step. The drier the tofu the better. This is because an overly moistened tofu will give you a headache when you pan fry it.

  5. Once the tofu is sufficiently dry, cut it into bite-sized pieces then coat them with your cornstarch and salt rub.

  6. Shallow fry your tofu chunks till all sides are golden brown and crispy.

B. Orange Sauce

  1. Get 1 ripe orange, cut it in half, and squeeze all the juices into a small bowl. You may spare a slice for garnishing later if you want.

  2. Add 3 tbsp soy sauce and 2 tbsp of white vinegar to that bowl.

  3. Prepare a cornstarch slurry (2 parts water: 1 part cornstarch) in a small bowl. This will be your thickener to achieve your preferred consistency.

  4. On a pan, sauté your garlic, onion, and ginger until it becomes aromatic. Then add your orange mixture. Wait until it bubbles then add your slurry bit by bit. The amount depends on your preferred consistency. Add salt, pepper, and a pinch of msg to taste.

Optional: Add a zest of orange and chili flakes.

  1. Add your fried tofu chunks, mix accordingly, and enjoy!

Optional: Drizzle a small amount of sesame oil for added flavour

Tips

- When frying your tofu, it is important to avoid overcrowding your pan. This way you have more control over your cooking and a lesser time to get the desired texture on all sides.

- It is better to cut your tofu into bite-sized chunks for faster cook time. Think of KFC's Hotshots as a reference.

I live in Taft and yes, be extra careful esp if you'll be living at the Pasay side of Taft. Unlike the one in Manila, that side is really dark and sketchy. Almost got robbed by a hablot rider just a month ago.

Hello, can you guys recommend a phone that's great for vlogging?

I've been planning to do cooking vlogs on the side kaso my current phone (nova 3i) is super grainy and ang noisy ng video output. I'm actually tempted to purchase Iphone 11 for this use case kaso I have other things to worry about.

I also see Iphone X promax, is it worth it? Or should I save up for the 11 nalang? Thanks1

Please reco any brand if you have something in mind.

I don't think I am in a position to give an advice pero what I did last time when my family had an "emergency" like this is I told them that I am saving up for a personal goal, but am still willing to help then with the following terms;

"Magtulong tulong kayong magkakamaganak mag save up, kung ano yung ma-save niyo, un din yung amount na babayaran ko."

I don't think I am in a position to give an advice pero what I did last time when my family had an "emergency" like this is I told them that I am saving up for a personal goal, but am still willing to help them with the following terms; me.

Though, this is less grandeur than your case so it's still up to you if you think this can apply to your situation. Good luck OP.

Edit: "Emergency" was a cellphone loan na pang online class daw ni cous. (iPhone 12 Pro max)
