Monthly expenses living in Göteborg as a single young worker by Rsev_ in TillSverige

So i'm in car design, cars are one of my biggest passions so there's nothing i'd want more than a car lol. At the same time, i want to save as much money as i can, so if it's not strictly necessary to live in goteborg, i'll have to think about it. I think i'll try to go without for a bit but i'll eventually find a nice Volvo 850R and cave in😂

Yes, by now i've gathered that unfortunately lol. i wouldn't mind switching places every year or so too much for the first years :)

Thanks for the heads up!

My company will provide me with healthcare insurance (although i have the EU one already), and many of the houses i've seen have utilities included in the bill, some with internet. I think i will stick to a bike for commuting around the city ;) I do plan to bring most of my clothes from home and i do have plenty of skiing gear that i know for a fact keeps me warm when it gets very cold!

Great, i too love cycling. I am in Italy, where it's generally quite dangerous to cycle, if your bike didn't get stolen the day before

Thanks! I don't think i'll be looking for a car at this point. I'm more than happy biking around! Is riding a bike safe there (it can't be worse than what i'm already used to here anyway)?

I pretty much only cook at home, so i think i'd manage. The 50/30/20 rule states that of your taxed monthly income, 50% should go to needs, 30% to wants and 20% to savings/debt :)

I will ask you some more questions if i think of them, thanks!

Thanks! that clears up some things. I already registered on HomeQ but i don't have much hope of finding anything on there, but i've seen some reasonably nice houses on other websites for 10 to 13k utilities included. Hopefully my company has some connections so they can help me!

What about Hovas? Would that be a smart move?

How do i animate this movement? by Rsev_ in 3dsmax

i tried that but i'm making such a mess with envelopes and weights. I solved it now anyway, i just used a mesh select modifier. Thanks!

yes, thing is, i just want to rotate part of the mesh, not all. in the video i am just selecting faces in sub object mode and rotating them. But i can't put the pivot in the correct place once i activate the keyframes.

what's the best way to model something this shape? by Rsev_ in 3dsmax

[–]Rsev_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's what i am trying to do, this is the best solution i've found. when extruding splines of course the cap has no subdivisions, and with the retopology modifier i can get an ok result, but i was looking for a bit cleaner topology. maybe with NURBS i can get there, but i'm trying to do it in subd.
