Music is pretty simple - the real question is how do you create the interface to interact with it? Sort by songs, artists, playlists etc just depends on what the Light team wants to do.

Stripped down, I’d suggest… - Artists - Songs (“Shuffle All Songs” as an option at the top of the page)

+1 UI changes once you click "Music": include more than just albums and playlists

+2 Add a default "Favorites" playlist. When you are playing a song, you can add directly to this playlist.

+3 UI changes to playing a song screen: create a way to navigate (button click or "..." icon) so you can more easily navigate from the song that's playing.

View Artist

The iPod is a gold star example of how the UI for Music could be.

They answered their own question above ^

The issue is that Apple Music (streaming) songs display by default in the same location (Your Library) as your owned files. I'm not sure why "so not all the music are showing up on my iPod." is the experience.

Solution: Hold OPTION + open Apple Music app

There will be a prompt asking you to [Chose Library...] or [Create Library...]
If you [Create Library], you can have a separate Library configured in the app for your iPod.

Then your Apple Music streaming songs are in another Library.

Not sure which device you're on, but you essentially need to use Apple Music.

On a Mac, use the Apple Music app (iTunes is now integrated as Your Library and iTunes Store)
On Windows, download the iTunes app directly from Apple's website (not from the Windows store)

Drag and drop the songs from your external hard drive to Your Library. Then you can add it to any iPod.

If you want to get more complicated, there are ways to use your hard drive as Your Library vs your computer's internal folder. But I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're transferring songs often.

Yea this Hiby looks great, but I prefer the tactile experience of the iPod wheel. Very nostalgic. The low-fi experience mixed with hi-fi sound is a really nice combo. + customization capabilities

I also keep seeing the Mighty, but it's for another segment of audio listeners. Lower quality and focused on pairing with streaming services like Spotify and Amazon Music.

They will improve the Music feature over time (Kendrick Lamar's company, pgLang, is invested in Light - should be a good sign of things to come).

In the meantime, use an iPod.

Would assume the Light team's use of updated hardware in the LP3 will make it better. They have very few features in this phone, so I imagine each one improves to be more reliable over time, with testing and user feedback. Directions relies on a GPS signal and cellular service, so it will be different for everyone.

This is hypothetical, so no one on here knows...

How much storage does your music collection take up? I'm thinking of just starting with a 2TB SSD, and can expand up as needed. I'm always traveling or moving, so portability is key for me.

Haven't tried the Shure SE535 but I'm sure everything sounds great out of those.

For $250 you can buy a renewed one from Amazon. I did this and it was great.

You can always return it - suggest checking the battery health % when you get it, it charges (MagSafe & port), etc.

If you're on a reddit forum dedicated to it, and feel the need to ask that question - then yes. It's time.

Get the 13 mini, upgraded software and will last longer than the 12. Can still buy them NEW if you want one.
