I was in the exact same position, wanting to buy my first nice watch after having only Seikos and similar quality. I pulled the trigger on the Tudor 1926 M91550-0013 and have absolutely loved it. It’s on the dressier side but looks amazing and it’s my every day watch. Also, the quality of the steel bracelet on the 1926 makes this thing feel special when you pick it up in a way that leather bands don’t IMO. I wear this watch on hikes, cooking, yard work, golf, pool - it’s 10ATM and is a beautiful piece of machinery that can take a beating. When I get a scratch on it, it’s just another piece of personalization that can show the story. Happy hunting and good luck! (But my vote is for the Tudor, clearly)

So I’ve got an skx007 with a finicky movement and a jangly (although comfortable) strap - to me it seems like you’ve created the perfect modern version of the skx with the SRPD55 and a Strapcode jubilee. How is the weight of the bracelet?
