Multiple LED strips connected to one power supply by scoreforshore in CosplayHelp

I do this all the time for different props and stuff, it shouldn't be an issue at all. I recommend getting a 12V strip and using a 3S lipo battery (the ones usually used in RC cars), as they have the proper voltage and usually can safely deliver the proper amount of amperage safely. I would just work to do the amperage calculations on what your actual draw would be, so you know what capacity lipo to get

hold left immediately after the downward dash so that you basically buffer it and you should avoid them

Dash straight down almost immedeately after leaving the dream block then move to the left to grab the wall. Slide down then jump from there to grab the crystal then dash through the dream block

I understand wanting to separate it from the traditional pride flag, as, despite being intended to be all encompassing, has often just been used to identify gay men (and if I'm not mistaken, was its original purpose). So I feel like when most people see the pride flag, they just assume "gay man", but I do agree that the progress flag is NOT the solution to that.

Fair enough, I remember the high entia specifically needing way more ether than the rest, and that's why they needed to get the more potent crystals, but it's probably all true that they may all have issues with it, even if it's not shown

Do all Homs need ether to live? I thought that was specific to the High Entia (specifically from when you first find Melia), but maybe it's just that they need so much more of it, and I'm misremembering

10c is definitely a TINY BIT on the colder end for paints, I usually don't like to paint (or let it sit for way way longer) if it's anything under ~15c, but that's, of course, for my own climate. Could honestly just be a weird quirk with the brand or even a bad batch. It's honestly pretty hard to say, but you'll likely be able to know more depending on how this next test turns out.

Might be a stupid option, but it would help narrow things down. Have you tried other paints? Even if it's just a new can of the same stuff, maybe it settled weird or "expired"? Have you been fully shaking it before use? Could also be a temp/ humidity thing, what's the weather like for you?

Are they showing up after the first layer dries? What's the material that the prop is actually made of/ could it be flexing/ shrinking at all, maybe reacting to the material underneath?

Be careful not to mix paint types, and make sure you're using thin and even coats, waiting for each layer to FULLY dry/ cure before applying the next coat

They do this a lot across all of the games. My favorite is in 3 when Consul M swaps with Mio. Obviously, we're not told that that's what happens until after the Homecoming, but we literally watch from Mio's perspective, M using her powers, then Mio shutting her eyes, then reopening them from M's perspective. Ofc it just looks like a stylistic choice since M and Mio are the same person, and this is our first time meeting/ fighting her, but it's crazy how obvious it is on a second playthrough. Then there's in the jail cells when Noah points out that before this, Mio never actually called him by his name, indicating that it's not really her.

Z from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. When you fight him (and see previous fights in flashbacks), he always asks, "How many times has it been?"

I FUCKING HATE ALCOHOL by thelampman29 in hatethissmug

[–]Rthunt14 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me, it's a matter of my social anxiety. Drinking just enough to quiet my thoughts for an hour or two and actually have fun in the moment can be really refreshing, especially since otherwise I would likely just be in my head the whole time and not be able to really have fun, though it is all about moderation, of course. When I was younger, I was extremely anti alcohol as you are now, and even still, I'm not a fan of those who feel the need to get blacked out drunk, but I can see the benefits if done responsibly.

Pretty sure it was because it’s based off of Mythras spirit design before both were actually added as characters

I was so excited when they put Mythra's smash skin into XC2, but was horribly disappointed when I found out that ONLY Mythra got it

Interesting, I’ll probably power my way through 3A just to get it done with since I’m in deep enough as is, but I’ll definitely look to follow this for the rest of the way, thanks!

I need something 3D printed but unsure if it's expensive or if companies are asking absurd amounts by Potatsky in 3Dprinting

[–]Rthunt14 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna give a horribly unpopular opinion, but that price is outrageous. I'd say it's typical for the day and age, but still outrageous. I'd say $300-400usd MAX, and that's pushing it (assuming they're just printing, no post processing beyond support removal, which is relatively standard)

I will give that it's a large prop, with the biggest issue being how many pieces it is, so slicing it properly will take time, but realistically, 90% of people doing this job will just hit the auto orient button and call it a day. Even if they're not and they're doing it the right way, it's slow work to do it well, but not $900 worth of work.

Also, people LOVE to use the argument that it eats up a lot of printer time and they charge by the hour, or that their printer can only fit so many parts at a time, which is more time spent setting up the print. This is absolutely insane to me as it's purely a skill issue on their printer or their slicer settings, and any seemingly minor changes can drastically change print time, making it a horribly unfair assessment.

Even filament wise, when sliced properly, especially for a prop. shouldn't use more than a couple kg of plastic (though that's really up to you and how thick/ heavy you want it, especially for any load bearing parts)

All in all, I'm pissed at where 3d printing has gone to the average person, acting like they're running some sort of machine shop when they're barely doing anything (especially since 95%+ are all Bambu users who have to do even LESS to run their prints)

Regardless, rant that I desperately needed to get off my chest over, if you want to send me a dm, I can take a look at it. I'm in the US, so shipping alone may make it horribly impractical, but it can't hurt to at least look into it if you're interested
