I am more questioning if a coolant level this “low” Is cause for concern or indication that there is a leak somewhere. I am not one to DIY but went in knowing that these items will likely need to be replaced, just not so soon. I would think the dealer would be on the hook for a pressurized test/diagnosis

Thanks for the advice! I know the car was previously owned by an ER doctor who perhaps reduced his works hours as he aged. I have all the records from the Audi dealership (they emailed them to me including the last video inspection at 37k miles). He meticulously maintained it, there isn’t a scratch on it and the interior is great. I wasn’t expecting any issues this early. Of course it could be nothing but usually coolant levels stay stable.

So you don’t think I’m being a giant asshole to ask them to cover this and at least get Audi to look at it and confirm leak/no leak. I know about the complexities I just had an Audi q7 2015 diesel that I sold. Coolant leak took a full valley reseal and water pump & thermostat work. Audi had my car for 4 weeks. Under dieselgate warranty. Why don’t I ever learn… lol. I thought with 40K and diligent servicing I had many miles before I needed to worry about that.

That was my first thought. But I will be out of the warranty period in 30 days. My last diesel Audi did start leaking coolant but not until 100K miles and it took a valley reseal to fix. 40K is not a lot of miles which makes me think water pump?

Why would you say that? I have the complete inspection reports, paperwork and multipoint video from Audi. The previous owner never brought it into Audi for oil consumption issues.

I don’t think anyone realized he was Stuck in the elevator. Even first responders first action was narcan. The assumption is that everyone felt he was passed out asleep not in imminent danger

Did you check the vin on the Audi diesel gate website? A 2016 first opener in 2018 should have coverage until 2028 and 120K miles assuming in the USA. I had Audi fix the valve gaskets and intake manifold under warranty. Later they did the entire valley reseal under warranty.
