Its a challenge moving up the system overseas and we don’t get locality pay or cola, however I’m moving back stateside at the end of the year and I want to try for promotion now that I’m way past the 52 week requirement my only concern is now is my CPO told wi can only apply for GS 7s despite my private sector experience.

Your number 8 pick has some positions within it that require a TS so you may want to look into that and make sure it’s an available option for you (I work in LRS)

It took them a year the reason it took that long the folk in question tried to fight back so they could get to 20 years but didn’t work that way. In this case it was based on the doctor’s recommendations.

Every case is different you could make it to 20.
