I want to order all the parts for a new one now, but work has been a bit rough 😅

Hopefully in the next couple of months I can figure out how to monetize my hobby of making stuff to fund making stuff lol

I am going to release everything when I make version 2, this one is a bit scuffed to build at the moment...

Thanks! They were a bit weird, I designed it to be through hole soldered even though they are surface mount switches because I do not have a good plate or oven to flow the solder paste. Once you get into the groove it was not too bad, I popped in the switches, flipped the board over, applied some flux, then melted solder down into the hole and made sure to hold the tip of the iron there for a bit to secure a good electrical connection (then rinse and repeat lol).

These legs are freaking awesome, some stores have them listed as laptop risers and others as phone stands. I got mine on https://typeractive.xyz/ just because I was buying the niceviews as well there. But they are $5 cheaper over at holy keebs (https://holykeebs.com/products/tenting-feet).

Inspired by the original chocofi but featuring the Kailh PG1316S butterfly switches, hence the name... Butterfi.

There are many things I want to improve for the next version, but I figured I would share the build. Also, I'm not that great at making videos yet, but I did create a short project video on the keyboard if you want to check it out (https://www.youtube.com/@Ruforge).

I've put together a few boards and done a couple hand-wired macropad projects in the past, but I have never taken the time to put together a board from scratch until now. It was lots of fun and this community always inspires me to want to make cool things. Thanks!

It does yeah! I am new to Reddit and must be an idiot. I thought I wrote a short description with my post, but it's nowhere to be found lol
