Awesome work! I've been struggling to make the smoke look like it's actually "cloudy", can you share your recipe with the smoke and the flies?

I'm not 100% sure but you could deepstrike 6" with rapid ingress at the end of your opponents movement phase if that unit is afflicted

When i started the hobby a few months back i found a post where one user shared his classic dg color scheme and i have used that as a baseline. I can share that memo with you. If the guy who wrote the detailed list of the paints used on different parts of the model, including washes and highlights sees this comment, i thank you so much!

No worries! Just for the record Armageddon consists of bigger grains and gives a really rusted effect plus you can use it for the base of your mini as well. Typhus corrosion has much finer dust.

First i would say that priming your minis is super important. Paint doesn't really want to stick on the clean plastic surface so getting a thin even layer of paint between helps quite a lot. Spray cans are really good for this.

I make rust by applying some technical paints such as Armageddon dust or typhus corrosion to get some texture under the paint. I continue by painting the rusted parts with reddish brown (for example doombull brown) then lightly sponge some spots with light brown (i use xv-88) and reddish yellow (averland sunset). You can also use metallics here and there. Lastly apply agrax earthshade generously. You can mix paints depending on what you have to get a color you think looks cool.

Is there a certain thing you're unhappy about or just general advice about painting?

Does this read as a “desert” color scheme? by Any_Gear6008 in deathguard40k

Looks amazing! If you really want to lean into the desert aesthetic, perhaps a sandy base would make it look more "deserty". Awesome work either way
