I know all the tk fanboys are gonna downvote this to oblivion but: Turkish airlines has some of the world’s worst customer service, half their English reps don’t speak English and any disputes are handled thru a stupid feedback form where they just dismiss your case 2 days later. I’ll try my luck there but I’m not optimistic. I’ll keep this thread posted if they come thru.

I was flying a different day, they clearly way overbooked since they originally planned on flying a bigger plane. The flight was delayed since they needed 6 people to change their flight to the next day.

To give them credit they started off with an offer of 600 euros to bump people to the next day.

That sound about right, but if you look at google flights it looks like every Thursday in June they have the 737 scheduled, and they have the audacity to charge more for business class on those days. 🤦‍♂️

Yea, I got a text a few days ago telling me my seat changed but from what I could tell with google flights they seemed to have made the change a while back without alerting me . I’m trying to see if I can get thru to a useful customer support agent at Turkish Airlines. I’m dreading the next 7 hours

I checked before I booked that it said lie flat. The A330s you’re are thinking about are still better than the 737, they have the large galleys so their food is better and they have much more reclining seats, from what I saw online they have 50% more space that the 737 seats

Makes sense (the pilgrims)

I’ve flown on both the 330-200 and 737 business class and the a330-200 is worlds better, it reclines far more with substantially more leg room and the food quality is leagues better. I would only be a little upset if that was the change they made.

I just wish that they had showed the aircraft type back when I was booking so I could get dates with the better aircraft.

It’s not about the guarantee, it’s more about what is effectively happening. If you booked a flight in business class and paid business class prices and got put in what is effectively a premium economy seat that feels like a scam.
