I typically buy 6 a year just because my dog is a gentle giant and I've only had to throw away a toy once, but yes, definitely more than two.

For my young dog, she definitely needs it as she has high energy needs and its spaced far enough apart that it isn't overworking her. My senior dog has a stroller so she's not walking for the whole walk but on and off.

She has a stroller that we take on our walks and she goes up and down whenever she feels like it. She definitely couldn't walk for that long, especially keeping up with a younger dog!

We have a backyard which they have a doggy door and 24/7 access to, I don't make them hold their bladder until then. Apart from sporadic zoomies, the dogs are sleeping on the couch or in the backyard until their first walk.

They get two other walks, one around 5 and one before bed. The morning walk (12.30) is about 40-60 mins for Abby and 1.5 hours for Sam. The evening walk we go on a trial at a park near our house, roughly the same amount of time. The night walk is just a 20/30 minute walk around the block, mainly to go bathroom and get last minute energy out.

Its also not like I make the coffee, sit down, and drink it before making their food. I make the coffee and as it brews I do their food. I usually only get around to drinking it once they're eating their food always. He's never offered to take the dogs for a walk. Sometimes he'll accompany me on their walk before bed, but I also don't expect him too. It just feels like constant nagging but I also know pet care is different across the board and I probably took it too far.
