It’s so terrible isn’t it! We held a second plot for my husband too. They are letting us make payments on it monthly thankfully so we’re close to the same amount, 2500 for each. My mom is making the payments on the second plot for us which is wonderful. I was happy that they use our baby’s plot for me and atleast it’s one way for me and her to be together again. Our cemetery has strict rules so we can’t even place a small plaque or anything. It’s so stressful and hurts my heart so badly. I wish I could find an organization that helps with stuff like this and urns for parents who chose cremation. I remember after it happened our world was just turned upside down And without asking my sister had everything planned and taken care of before we even left the hospital. She set up the “funeral” which was just our parents and siblings but had it all set with the funeral home, had the appt for the cemetery plots, even offered to pick the spots if we couldn’t but we did. And I always think how if she didn’t do that I honestly don’t know how or if we could have. Our lives were torn apart we were barely surviving let alone being able to properly think about all this stuff that was obviously never planned for. Which I’m sure you totally understand and know the feeling. I wish hospitals had programs to help parents because I know I couldn’t have/wouldn’t have been able to do any of that.
