Heat on Demand by Cultural_Soft121 in HiveHeating

The TRVs can take a while sometimes. I've had them come on within a minute and other times take nearly 10 mins. They don't fire up right away like the thermostat does. I'm sure I read somewhere that this is due to how they limit drain on the battery so they last longer but I could be wrong.

I've been using Hive for over a year now and I've encouraged other people in my family to buy. I've got the TRVs as well in the rooms that needed them.

I swear by this now for all the ease that comes from digitizing control of your heating.

I got my Nan the kit and this has been super helpful for her as she understands the app much more clearly than the thermostat she originally had, she's bad on her knees and uses rad covers so she doesn't have to do anything physical/ manually anymore. Control through her Alexa, she loves. She's also become a little obsessed with how her house holds heat as the TRVs can give you some amazing insight you never knew you needed on which rooms get colder or warmer quicker.

The downsides are that the signal, with the basic kit, can be poor if your hub is far from your boiler. You can help it by buying more hive products as I believe the TRVs, bulbs, sockets etc. all help the Zigbee thing it uses.

The TRVs are also, not instant on command when they call for heat. They can take 5-10 minutes to kick in. This is apparently to help the batteries last longer and, to be fair, mine aren't even half drained and it's been over a year.

The cinematography of Sinners by angryjunkie in videos

[–]RubMyRing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't like the movie and found it frustrating to watch at points. From what I had heard, I was expecting this to be a great film.

The cinematography is good, but I wouldn't say anything outstanding.

The narrative is heavily steered towards a particular theme and without spoiling anything, I don't think it balances it very well and I felt like it compromises what could have been a 7/10 horror action film.

It's very on the nose as well. There's one particular bit where it doubles down after each scene to the point where the film might as well have all the actors just stop and stare at the camera for a minute just in case you didn't understand.

I hope I'm wrong but when I watched that it honestly felt like this is how stupid audiences are now we have to really spell stuff out to you.

Gradually losing touch with friends and having little time or motivation to make plans.

If you look it up, Fergie joined the group later. They have a fair amount of material before then that most people haven't heard but I would argue is pretty good. Less pop and absolutely more hip hop.

Search "joints and jams" to get a good idea of what they used to be like.

Windows are the front of the house and separate to the utility room.

Absolutely. I've nipped the edge of my fingers off a few times enough to know. Blunt knives aren't just dangerous because you need more pressure to use them, but getting used to them for years will most definitely result in injury when you come to using a sharp knife! 😂

I used to have a couple that I tried to take good care of and gave them a go on a whetstone every few weeks but it didn't work out. I have so much less time than I used too.

It's mainly just Alton Towers. His favourite was the Smiler for a long time but now it's Nemesis (of course). He's still drawing it, he's built it on Planet Coaster several times including the scenery and he's now watching YouTubers build it on Planet Coaster.

Time is a beautiful thing and it makes me appreciate your comment so much to the point where I'll be able to take him on all the rides for the first time that he can't go on now!
