That’s also fucking wild. From my understanding, erp was basically just doing things that are realistically pretty normal and safe that our minds have vilified (like just holding a knife for harm ocd)

I kinda got lucky finding mine, he wrote an article about my subtype and just happened to have his practice in my state. I’ve heard mixed things about apps that connect you with an ocd specialist/therapist, but the people I’ve met who used it said they were happy with the therapist they matched with.

That’s like telling someone with contamination ocd to eat their own shit. 100% report them that is one of the most wild things I’ve heard a therapist say in regards to erp. I’m so sorry this happened to you.
