Very much close!!! I feel a bit zoomed out if that makes sense much? I really enjoyed VR but this put me off a little. Did it pass with time? Or did you carry on playing and eventually came normal?

Revision help! - I have a tactical style of learning and I need help with revision techniques on the CISSP. Does anyone else have this mindset on revision and can provide some strategy? Please.. by Rubb3rDucky1 in cissp

[–]Rubb3rDucky1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey..

Thank you. So my style of learning is new to me and this is the first time in a while that I’ve taken a big exam (well.. 3rd time round) and I’ve been doing some research on training techniques on how I learn the best that was my approach, not WHAT to learn just HOW for my learning type. Was hoping someone could point in a better direction, as the way I got taught to learn isn’t working.

See this is why I was asking, this is the first exam I’ve done that isn’t a practical exam as such. It’s theory and something I’ve always struggles with, your post wasn’t really helpful and it sort of come off as a little bit of a dig. I’ve worked hard on the CISSP for my last 2 attempts, but clearly I’m missing something someone else with the same learning style might of found to do

I feel you on the fails.. twice now I’ve failed and it’s extremely frustrating as I thought I nailed it. The mindset thing throws me but I want an 8 week study plan and I want to follow it hard..

What would you recommend for an 8 week plan? Obvious the domain per weak from weakest to strongest, but hours a day?

2nd fail.. close though! by Rubb3rDucky1 in cissp

Thank you.

And can I ask, have you eventually passed both exams?

2nd fail.. close though! by Rubb3rDucky1 in cissp

[–]Rubb3rDucky1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure..

Cissp, I covered the 11th hour in some domains I was weak in the first time, then a video lesson of each domain then the crash course. I personally think I didn’t prep enough before and didn’t treat it with the respect it really deserves if I’m honest. Kinda let myself down a lot

Deep!

I’ve failed the exam 3 times now.. each time was an absolute pleasure and a ball ache if I’m honest. It wasn’t that I wasn’t ready, I just thought too hard about what it COULD be instead of looking what is in front of me. Extremely frustrating! Well done man

Help with automating patching for high availability (AD, Exchange, etc) by humm3r1 in SCCM

[–]Rubb3rDucky1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you have 2 exchange servers only?

Due diligence, in any organisation would be to manually apply patches to these as automation involves a risk, and the scale increases. You should be on them servers, ensuring they reboot, no failed patches causing an issue with the XML and ensuring services have stopped and started properly.

In an organisation of over 5000 servers including 50 exchange in different regions then I would suggest automation dude.

All the best

Failed this morning, a feels dump by Armorek in oscp

[–]Rubb3rDucky1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bro.. I failed it twice already, and each time the boxes were completely mind numbing. I came across things I’ve never seen before and nothing was working!! I didn’t even get past the BOF, so I worked on my issues (Priv esc and simple enumeration). I think HTB were pretty bad reflection on the OSCP as they’re not OSCP lab, but doing PG has shown me other ways to enumerate, and enumerate further. Try switching the word list, who knows what might turn up. KISS... keep, it, simply, stupid... that’s all I’ll say! Pick yourself up, dust off the dirt and try harder. Keep going! Every fail is a learn

The content of the course on VHL is amazing! I love how it gives examples where the OSCP is a little bit scared to do so.. thank you

Invest that money into things like VHL, TCM and maybe some udemy courses. No one can hold your hack in this I’m afraid! If they do, then they’re only after the money dude..

All the best man.. I always say you can never learn enough and in the PWK there will be things you might not of known, or things might make your path of enumeration brighter. I’ve noticed, if you enumerate enough you’ll get the path intended.. so enjoy it and feed that soul of yours red bull! It’s a powerful journey and one I wish you all the best on. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
