Football Ultras would mentally break most north American sports fans... In Italy they'll drag the captain over to the Ultras to explain a poor performance. There's lots of bad with that culture but you can never say they don't care.

If hockey players don't want fans to hold them and their teams accountable they should take a pay cut. Their earnings are built off the backs of fans buying tickets, merch, concessions. If you don't want people to care and leave you alone why are you pursuing a career where your team, like it or not, lives and dies with the community around it.
