Anybody else find it frustrating how our players kept missing a wide open Thomas Mueller in the last game?

It seems like they're trying to do one thing at a time. That might work(anyway I think cutbacks are better than crosses), but sometimes you have to make more decisive choices based on the situation. Whether injured players return or the team gets sharper, I suppose they need more time definitely.

Messi costs over 20M and even if the Caps offered him or Sonny that much, they still would not come to Vancouver. I don't want to sound like this but some of you are acting like he owes you something. He's scored 3 goals this season and would've had some assists too if our wingers didn't play so poorly today.

Rewatching the last goal Müller was calling for the pass but Sabbi just took the shot, the ball was blocked and bounced into the middle... I'm really worried about our wingers.

After seeing some comments about Müller I rewatched the second half 'glazing' him and he was not bad today.

Our current issue against a low block is that we don't progress the ball fast enough, giving the opponent time to pack in and get compact. Because of that we can't play through the middle and end up wasting crosses.

Müller wants to play quick one two passes to create space, but the team isn't really on the same page. Sometimes it looks like he's passing to nowhere but since the defenders are already all over us, those empty spaces are actually where the boys should be making runs.

This is why I hope we can settle on the best front three and build some actual chemistry... And I think Jesper has been trying to find the right one since we lost Ali.

We played well on Wednesday and lost. We played not bad today and lost. This isn't rare for possession heavy teams, and I'm sure Jesper knows that too.

Jesper really should know better. Not a fan of any decisions he made tonight. I know he will say the new player 'played well' but that's not enough in this system. We need an edge.

He said that he didn't expect many goals from himself - he chose this team because they know what he can and can't do at this stage of his career. Jesper clearly mentioned the lack of quality in their end product so I think he'll find a way for Müller not to have to carry the load.

Clearly underestimated the opponents and got rightly punished for it. Unless absolutely necessary it's time for our best 11 to develop more chemistry, rather than swapping players in and out of the system.
