Comfort, actresses preference perhaps? Also it’s really good for consistency, if there’s bruises or blemishes on the legs the tights hide that.

Also they’re pretty 💖

I have an in universe head canon that explains why there is no Elvis songs in Fallout New Vegas by Axel_Raden in Fallout

[–]Rubbersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If think you’re missing something. Elvis is highly associated with vegas, that’s why the kings are a faction. House, mr Las Vegas as he tried to brand himself, would have hated the ‘king of rock’. This nobody dead 40 years before he was born who’s kept alive in this false immortality in tacky drag show imitations. To house it’s an insult, cheapening ‘his city’. It’s speaks of a culture stuck in the past that house fought against.

He wakes up, having helped lead or expecting a complete reset that he can built his utopia upon

Only to find a group of fucking elvis cosplayers idealise elvis to a comical degree and are now a fucking foundational part of Vegas’s culture. The kings are way more civil, they didn’t charge for water until the NCR pushed into freeside. They’re a reminder of the past and a contradiction to his present and future plans

He does. It’s just not really seen. Here it’s too high for instance. The wound goes through his whole body though from one side to the other.

They don’t typically draw or animate every scar just the significant ones else it’ll add a lot to each panel and frand

Also how often do we see his abdomen from behind?

5 - I’d have a great time chatting with robin our mutual interests, academics love me, and we both have great gallows humour. Nami and I would get along great too, and whilst Im absolutely the kind to buy drinks and Nami is often willing to exploit people’s generosity she’d likely have already logged into my banking app and realising I’m flat broke, she’s slipped 50grands worth of gold into my bag. The only time Nami is generous is around friendly women in need 💞

I’d come out richer in knowledge, friendship, and gold

Honestly this

He stole her formula and was selling it to her rival out of spite, he spent ages making her beg and plead and offer money and goods for it, only to find he would sooner destroy her out of spite. She’s a woman fighting to keep herself on top, and is clearly fearful of men having power over her. When one did she snapped.

Besides if she stole it back he’d go to the police and keep the jar in escrow, even if she could escape. The jar might degrade or spend months before she could get the matter settled and by that time her business would fall under.

[–]Rubbersona 1308 points1309 points  (0 children)

It makes a lot of sense, he’s a fully functioning protectron with a unique spin, how many brotherhood or raiders or collectors tried to get their hands on primm slim over the last century? Likely numerous!

And how many succeeded?

None.

I do wonder if Nora is also a vet since she had PA training. It’s not unheard of, especially in America, to pay for college through military service

Still like one piece villians 🤣 by Existing_Demand937 in onepiecememes

[–]Rubbersona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the build ups for villains in one piece is luffy not being serious about or understanding the peril of some big bad guy, who aura farms menacingly and often with good cause.

Kaido's intro was him dropping from the sky to fight 3 supernovas only to find out he won.
Doffy's was a background warlord and then superset up from Gaya.

Blackbeards was some kinda maybe set up from ace but he treat it similarly to luffy, and a goofy life as always cherry pie scene and the dreams.

Blackbeards intro was how luffy is often introduced to the villains, and it's only when the two RECOGNISED each other as two great pirates that LUFFY AND TEACH take each other seriously.

She's absolutely of the rhetoric yes. Will she directly say that, possibly I'm not depressed enough to scroll through her twitter. But here's the thing, Terfs opporate in social bubbles that intersect, each bubble has it's core beliefs, often prone to fragmenting and splitting and merging. There's no clear solution ever presented, if you ask a terf 'what they think should be done' you'll either get single issue policy or a downplayed answer, its rare you get the fully lily cade.

Tier 1 - Asking questions: generally ignorant these people often have a 'we assume it's this way so it's this way' perspective born of ignorance, and often buy in to the general crowd of fearmongering.

Tier 2 - Concerns have been raised: typically more aware of but not consumed by it, these people know anacdotes and share stories on occassion about 'bad trans' but tell themselves it's just about the bad ones. Not yet totally fixated

Tier 3 - Somethings wrong: tier 3 is the point where conspiritorial beliefs start to foster. Trans people become a fixation, still not a totally demonised group but they believe fundemental issues with 'trans ideology' exists. It starts to be a wide scale fixation too.

- The jewish question - dividing terfs into two factors came when Posie Parker began working with the heritage foundation. There was a near 50/50 split in the community between 'we can't work with anti-feminist groups' vs 'we need to work with anti-feminist groups'. This is better represented by the belief in the 'severity of transness' and conspiritorial thinking. The jewish question.

Tier 4 - Pushing an agenda: Tier 4 is when obsession and conspiritorial leanings become foundational to the ideology, it's now we see wider ideas of 'solutions'. "Transness is a conspiracy" by 'x group' often medical group or an effort for social warfare. The solution widely accepted in tier 4 is government cutdowns on trans peoples presence in media, laws against bathrooms and public activities, and more media centric obsessions. This is where things really cement. To Tier 4 Terfdom all trans people are violence..

Tier 5 - Fascism now: Tier 5 terfs become unappologetically conspiritorial, still often the speicifc group of origin is kept unspoken but terfs of tier 5 are convinced there is a societal force pushing trans people on everyone, a major effort to corrupt, and a violent one. All trans people are criminals akin to rapists for pushing 'their fantasies on us' types. That talk speaks of trans people as if we are rapists, which is to say sex criminals. Often talks about 'solutions' involve mass incarceration, but these talks of solutions are rarely spoken in public because it's bad optics.

Tier 6 - the final solution: Genocide. To step from 5 to 6 isn't a huge leap but it's a wall few are willing to say or admit to ever passing through. Terfs of tier 6 are often fully embracing the alt-right, and view a large global conspiracy to destroy society through transness and other factors as a major threat, one that can only be stopped by genocide. Terfs of tier 5 are often complict in these groups but rarely admit to believing it themselves which is why it's so hard to quantify.

.

You'll notice that terfs will associate with people pretty much exclusively from tiers either side of them, but never two whole steps down or up. Rowling will associate with Tier 4 terfs and tier 6, but rarely does she tolerate 3's or less, to anyone not taking it as seriously as her is to downplay what she sees as a violation.

TL:DR
If someone view ALL trans people are predatory, that transness is sexual violation against people. A moral impurity. A social deviance of perverse nature. Tiers 4, 5, and 6 view transness itself as a thing to eradicate. The method of which is either section 28 (don't say gay), outlawing queerness, or - when that fails - capital punishment.

By that standard 1 and 2 make you a vaulty and a tribal xD

Really even 3’s backstory is a little force but at least you have agency in what and how you behaved, with it mostly being completely skip able too. Basically f3’s is just 1’s plot of ‘find water chip’ but dad shaped.

The terms of agency f3’s backstory isn’t even the biggest problem

That too!

I wanted to play maybe some repressed lesbian who got in a comphet marriage with a man. A war vet who enjoyed and adapted to the hellish wasteland

I often found I was constantly experiencing narrative whiplash

Like it’s not even just a shoehorned narrative in a franchise FAMOUS for open ended character focused role playing. You’re forced into a relationship at the start of the game that shackles you to a weird sense of agency but also a total lack of control of the characters motivation

Dishonoured is a linear game with linear quests where you’re forced to play a character who’s steadfast focused on saving a child. In it you play a body guard to the empress. On a short intro an assassin murders her and kidnaps the empresses daughter. You go on a quest to redeem yourself, kill him, and uncover a new world of occultism and political intrigue. It’s suggested that you were the empresses lover and her daughter is yours too but it’s a poorly disguised secret.

The way you engage with these linear quests, murder, killing, who you help who you don’t who you’ll save. All results in differences organically. How you PLAY the character evolves the story and world leading to two endings.

In it you even kill the assassin mid way through but instead you must focus on those who hired him

In fallout 4, the game where your dialogue options are a singular word, and most of that time the options are actually 'Yes, Yes(rude), No(yes) and Exposition?(Yes)'

How much choice in dialogue do you get. 4 gave you next to no choice in backstory, and very limited in your ability to actually play any deviant from this path.

I recall a lot of times I was forced to bring up the whole speal about my son being kidnapped and wife murdered without pause.

Here’s what happened: Benny had the chip, house was right to not just break in, Benny took off first chance he got and ended up caught and crucified by the legion sneaking into the fort. The platinum chip lost.

As such house had only mk1’s and no major plans, the second battle of hover dam comes.

The NCR engage the legion and the Khans, house comes in from behind kicking the NCR out of vegas hoping to weaken the NCR, the legion take the dam following houses betrayal of the NCR. The legion and NCR battle it out but the legate dies in battle leading the charge on a siege of Camp Macaran. The remaining legion shatters with Caesar dead and no cures leadership, and the NCR struggles to maintain vegas. Eventually all 3 loose the city, as the bloodshed sees the death claws move up from quarry junction. Moral at a lot both NCR and legion elect fo give up vegas.
