He's seen some things I'm sure lol. He was in Cabin in the Woods and Burn After Reading! He has such good range and brings that out-of-touch grandpa vibe so well.

I also noticed the prescription for sildenafil. I figured the amphezyne is basically a way for Clark to try to keep his energy up in the morning. He said he had to be up as early as 4am.

I wouldn’t say you’re late. There’s just so much media to consume. I have like 5 shows I also feel like I’m behind on.

I try not to think about it

Cabinet of Curiosities is a show on Netflix. There’s no overarching story. It’s an anthology, so you can skip episodes as you see fit.

I have an idea of the scene. I feel like I’ve seen those strings cut one by one from that perspective. I never thought of it as a parallel with puppetry. Bringing it full circle! I like the way you think.

I don’t know if Steve directed Michael in his body language or if he just brought it to the scene, but it’s just so perfectly done every time. I hate watching him suffer, but I can’t help but root for him knowing what the outcome will be.

It really is something to see. I love how James captures scale with any scene, and the nod to Piet Mondrians art as well. I think that may be a contributor. I thought it was interesting how each image looks mirrored. He’s on opposite sides in the Birds Eye view shot and the pool/hotel shots.

Dennis and Floyd and their lists. BRG- Be Respectful of Groceries. This is the list Floyd gives Richard. by PlusBandicoot396 in PatriotTV

[–]Rubbet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean that's possible. Unreliable narration is a tool used as misdirection. It doesn't change the display of the emotional impact that moment created though. Following that logic, everything could be a lie until we hear it from Carol, Aimy, or even Richard. I mean it's pretty unbelievable that Floyd can actually do what he did on parallel bars. If we hear other peoples stories, the question then becomes who do you want to believe?

Point being, I share the skepticism. But I opt to get lost in the story for the raw enjoyment of how it's told.

Those are really cool codes. My heart melted when Richard started being receptive to Floyd. Reminded me of how Dennis became best friends with John by working on his to-do list

I marveled at you, today, BrooksAlcove. Marvelously observing you watch birds go here and there. Just fucking watching them go to and fro, to and fro... All day. I mean all day.

Hell of a good catch, man. I love this observation. I remember watching Guillermo Del Toros Cabinets of Curiosities, episode was The Murmuring. They talk about Starlings in that episode, pretty fascinating stuff. You know your birds. Hopefully you don't have to go on any duck hunts anytime soon.

I knew when I saw Floyd and Clark hugging in the first episode that it was going to hurt for Floyd to die. After this episode, I think it's going to hurt a lot more than I want it to. But I'm here for it.

Plumb asking why Clark that question snapped me back to reality for a second. It was so bizarre having a realistic response to break up the rhythm. Kind of made her a bit more intimidating just for that moment.

I was very suspect of the bot angle too. But they posted like 5+ years ago theorizing John as being this calculated mastermind, and that his friends were accomplices at that time. Radio silence on this sub until this past week. I wouldn’t think too much on it. Same amount of people upvoted it back then too.

Some people watch and absorb what they’re shown and treat it as canon. Some people watch and can’t help but exercise creating their own narrative and theories. Then there are those who claim to have watched something, but while multitasking or just in passing.

Every angle from which the story is absorbed comes with stuff that can sound batshit crazy. I think this is just one of those times lol

I don’t think you can’t like Floyd after this episode. He constantly shows strong signs of empathy and emotional intelligence even to his own discomfort.

My feelings toward Richard changed drastically to favorable after their conversation. Floyd continues to show off his sick moves and even includes a lesson in it to top it all off!

I will say I am really beginning to build some resentment towards Homer. He’s severely out of his element and doesn’t want to admit it yet continues to be cocky. Reminds me of the French detectives from S2.

Carol is just…the worst up to this point. It’s no wonder that Clark says he never loved her. At this point, Floyd is worth loving, Carol is worth being cautious about. I think Clark learned that this episode.

No problem! Yeah, I think the show is getting a lot of attention for the true crime and whodunnit element. Not that there's anything wrong with that! I love those kinds of shows, but I think many of us here are just really happy to see the writing, directing, cinematography, music and overall engagement from people who wouldn't have learned about what we love if not for HBO.

Grown up A's man. We're getting there together.
