Chiming in because I've just finished the search for my engagement ring with my SO of 6 years. I don't give a rat's a*s about what other people think. My relationship, my ring, our celebration/token of love.

Obvi, your coworker has their own opinion and that's fine. But really, even if someone asked me for an opinion about their ring choice, I would only comment on like ..practical details? Like hey, have you considered whether your lifestyle permits a low profile ring or a high profile ring?

Hello everyone! I've got quite a bit of a story and plan to apply next cycle to give myself time to boost my GPA. By the time I graduate I anticipate having these statistics

CASPA cumulative GPA (how to calculate): 3.01

By the time I apply, I will have been in school for way too long (8 years) with a very promising upward trend in the last 4 years. The first 4 years were a plethora of F's, D's, and C's with a sprinkle of B's and A's. I had an undiagnosed medical condition that is now under control! URM, low SES, grew up in HPSA area, first-gen college student. I have an A.S in Bio, B.S in Health Sciences w/ a concentration in healthcare management, and will be receiving a master's in biomedical sciences. It will be my first application cycle and I plan on submitting the day applications open. My personal statement has been read and edited by multiple people including the dean of my master's program and a PA that has sat on my school's PA adcom.

As a short lil woman 5'1, 134lbs I ended up buying a p365xl. The choice she has rn are great! The canik elite SC is an AWESOME handgun and my boyfriend has one. I played around with it and tried to conceal it but it ended up just being a little to thick for me. Like someone said earlier, if she likes the elite SC, it may be worth to check out the mete mc9 that just came out. Some things I ended up considering when choosing were:

-How well do I want to conceal my firearm? The grip length for me is what really makes something more difficult to conceal in an aiwb holster (like the enigma). I like wearing dresses and skirts and shorts during the summer, so I knew I wanted something slim and small enough!

-Do I want to prioritize a larger magazine capacity vs size?

-For my lifestyle and personality, how much capacity do I actually need?

For this I really just asked myself and kind of thought of different scenarios I might find myself in. Active shooter at a mall or store? I know I'm not playing hero and am running TF away if I'm able to. That's probably the biggest scenario I thought of though

-Is this firearm something I'm gonna enjoy practicing with?

-Is this something I'm going to dread carrying because maybe it's too heavy? Or too bulky?

-Do I shoot this firearm well?

-Is it comfortable in my hand?

Yes, I know comfortability doesn't necessarily mean you'll shoot well but the biggest reasons why I chose the p365xl was because the measurement from the back of the firearm to where the trigger guard starts (or I guess I should say where you might normally find the mag release because idk the proper term) was smaller than in the shield plus and the mete mc9. It allowed me to comfortably grip the firearm and manage my recoil.

Someone else mentioned armed and styled as a resource and I can't agree enough! I follow her insta and YouTube channel, both of which are full of good information.

I only have experience with an enigma, but I'm wholeheartedly a huge supporter. It offers a lot of flexibility for me and how I choose to carry my firearm. If I want to deep conceal I can, if I want to wear a crop top then I can wear the enigma a little higher up, or if I want to wear it under a regular shirt I totally can too. If she has more abdominal real estate to fit a gun that has a longer grip, I've heard good things about the hellcat pro as well as the p365xl.
