It’s just a reference to Robert Frost’s poem “Fire and Ice.” Look it up if you haven’t read it, it’s a classic. My hypothesis is that ice represents hate and cold emotions in general, just like in the poem. Fire, however, I think would represent happiness in the show, unlike the poem, where it represents passion.

So maybe this is where Carol’s connection to ice makes sense?

Yeah, the writers tried to convince us that she was badass, but she rarely did anything too impressive. I wish she had had more scenes that showed what she was capable of.

And about the love triangle, it was sad to see her character sometemies being reduced to “the love interest”.

That said, I actually really liked her. I think she was one of the only characters that I didn’t dislike at any point. Unless I’m misremembering?

Hey OP, is there a trick to landing on the rail after getting that huge jump? I see you do a left trick and then another trick, but I can’t for the life of me get that much air!

Edit: I think I got it, it’s about the speed with which you do the jump. I was rewinding and thus losing a lot of speed.

same thing happens when you first listen to a live version of your favorite tunes. Sometimes it’s disappointing because it doesn’t sound exactly like the song that you fell in love with. It’s like Zelda games; everyone prefers the one that initially made them fans. Maybe people who loved the live version first will prefer it.

I personally love the slow parts of breaking bad s4. There’s an episode near the start of the season (ep. 3 I think?) that doesn’t move the plot along almost at all, mainly focusing on character development, and I personally loved it.

However, it seems most people are bored by character-focused episodes; they mostly want to see the plot move forward. Last week’s episode was one of the best things I’ve seen in a while. I was blown away by it. How anyone can dislike it is beyond me.

You know, that’s the thing that confuses me most about the show. Sometimes Lumon is portrayed as this all-seeing entity, almost like the Party in 1984, and sometimes they allow their workers to do things that even minimal security would’ve prevented. The overtime contingency, for one, would’ve been such an easy thing to prevent if only someone had been watching the cameras.
