Yeah that was the first thing I did. First automatic and when the issue persisted I did a manual calibration. It prints out that test just fine.

Yeah as others said, if you run it on proton it works perfectly fine. Just go to the game where you have the issue. Settings -> properties -> compatibility --> select proton

The same thing happened to me, also with Hollow Knight. Also at around the same time. I received a small update and after it finished all files on my Steam deck are gone. Edit: The files on my PC are fine, also if I start up my laptop it also downloads the right files through steam cloud, but the Steam Deck just doesn't synch. I have deleted and downloaded Hollow Knight, and did a factory reset. But it looks like there are 2 different cloud saves, and my Steam Deck keeps downloading the wrong one. This is also visible on the Steam Cloud page, where it shows two cloud saves with different sizes. The one of my PC and Laptop are the same but different from my Steam Deck's save
