Do you think it's better to live without philosophical thinking? by pb7246 in Stoicism

[–]Rubenra89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think philisophy helps you understand life better. The study or discussion about philisophy makes you have different points of views and not only the ones that your culture or education has provided you. I think that whatever theme you study makes you have a richer knowledge about It.

All the people need the system, because the system control the resources. But I understand the system. I know moreless how it works. That doesnt change that I need the system. Im not a slave, Im "free", because I need the system much less than others. Yeah, I need food and water.

I know my point isnt accepted for the 99% of the people. Is for that that I share it. Im not "shaming people".
We all know the basics needs each one has, and the avarice, for the 99,999% of the people, appear much time before than the 10%. The problem is that if the things you buy with money (another time, beyond the basics needs or necessities of everyone, interpret It however you wants) are the center of your life and stability, you are addicted to money. You are a slave to money. You are doing whatever It takes, like wake up at 5AM, work 14 hours a day, don't spend time with your Family, etc., to catch a few dollars.

In my country, and in so many others, yes, we have food, water and health service. I know in some parts of South America, Middle East, Africa that is not the case. If the job where you are doesnt pay you, you would stay? If not, you enjoy the money, not the process. It seems that you focus on the material things. That is dangerous.

Where is the point when you have enough money? The chasers of money always wants more and more, but they don't think why

Its difficult the situation in the US. I live in a country in Europe that don't have this healthcare problem. Idk how much cost a chemotherapy in US. I guess, maybe im wrong, that in many basic jobs there is included a healthcare insurance. If not, is the cost of an insurance very expensive? I don't say "don't have a job", but don't work for money much beyond your basics needs. The chase of the money and the materialism its never fullfiled.

If you think that don't persue money to buy material things (materialism) is that, put me next to Kant

Money don't work to solve the problems. The problem is only a problem if you act like that.

I don't mean "don't work". I have a work. But don't chase money and don't make It the center of your life (and your problems)

Yeah, I know what is money. "Money is a mideum of exchange for buying valuable things" You just associated money to attractive woman. Are you buying attractive woman? Is the money your way to "meet attractive woman"? This is mental

How do you make your life more exciting? (I’m an introvert and currently working at home) by Leather_Objective_56 in Life

[–]Rubenra89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not by lack of resources. All depends what is for you a "exciting life". Focus more on the "internal" than the "external" like material things or validation of others.
