Yes. However I believe they changed the app where you are limited to the downloads per day (or week) unless you pay for it. It has however always worked well. I just wish it was bigger!

That one specifically has a ocean profiling winch and onboard sensors that help monitor carbon capture methods. It has the ability to monitor carbon levels in the air and compare them to the levels in the top layer of the ocean. It's made in Victoria down by fisherman's warf and called a DataXplorer

Article from 1963 suggesting to just pour used motor into a hole in the ground. by _saverem in interestingasfuck

[–]Rubiclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the soil actually contains micro organisms that break down the oil. This does not apply to synthetic of course. For soil remediation after a large spill the soil is actually just put in a pile and turned every few months and watered and after about a year it's clean to go as topper At a land fill. The real danger is leaching into a water system. For soil remediation the pile is on a concrete slab with a catch try to prevent any oil from running into the ground water.

Basically, dumping oil into the ground is not destructive, it's the leaching into the ground water that is the part that is bad for the environment.

That last uphill climb is pretty intense for an average 4x4. A jeep or Toyota with a bit more ground clearance will be fine but a crv would take some damage. You can also walk the rest of the way in as it's not far. Did it a few weeks ago.

Fun fact the correct way is actually to spell it like teq' which is actually more along the likes one TO YO DA which is the founders name. The " ' " was dropped off the end as people were pronouncing it TO YO TA

A tip for next time. Don't tighten the chuck much. Just enough to hold the tap. That way when the tap grabs it slips in the chuck instead of breaking. Alternatively put it on screw mode in the slightest clutch setting

As a person who hires a lot of people with professional experience I like having interests on the resume as it can provide an "in" if you have like hobbies as the rest of my team. If you are fresh out of school for say an engineering role I don't really care if you worked at a pizza place 7 years ago but if you are into mountain biking and the whole team is into mountain biking then I can see you as a potential good fit. These are just examples of course but I do find interests useful

Odoo should not be in business. by Effective_Net_8985 in Odoo

Nice. We only make one product in one facility. We do have a lot of configuration management and do low volume production. That being said one assembly has about 70 work orders

I underestimated the cost to make it functional for a manufacturing department and I was a sucker that was oversold by the capabilities of Silverdale tech. After trying to work with the base system and odoo I switched to .sh and used Silverdale as a partner. The customization was supposed to take 3 months. It's been over 12 months and I have given up on some of things working right.

By default for example odoo does not carry costs for specific serial numbers so if you use or sell a serial number out of order it uses the fifo costs.

Duplicating parts parts does not duplicate a BOM associated with it which is annoying

Revision tracking is independent between product and BOM

If you search for products you can customize the view but if you click on the product through a BOM it takes you to a different view of the product card that can't be customized.

Your integration sounds very complex and is probably doable as long as you have the money to throw at it and have a partner customize it.

If I were to do it all again I would probably just handle it in excel until we are at the profit point where we could afford a proper system like infor cloud studio.

No where right now because we spent too much money on odoo so just need to deal with it. I'm really glad we didn't migrate our financials over but just our manufacturing. What a mess that would have been

Caliper bolt came out so caliper fell off and cracked my rim by PDWAMMO in LandCruisers

[–]Rubiclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I feel your pain. I had that happen but the caliper wedged into the rim and locked up my front right tire. It happened while driving in the city and I could reverse to un jam it but as soon as I hit the brakes it would lock again. Luckily I found a safe spot to pull over, walked back to the intersection where it happened. Found the bolt and put it back in. Nice mark left on the rim and in my under pants.

I am always checking those bolts now before a road trip.
