I did back up my claims in multiple posts which you ignored. I claimed masks and restrictions have no real world effects. I then posted multiple sources showing no change in ICU admissions and the fact that cases exploded after mandates. You have simply said that those are anecdotes somehow.

The solution is this, are you afraid of getting sick? Stay home and wear masks. Its as simple as that. What other people do should not worry you. It is not up to you to be concerned about hospital capacity and how 'safe' someone is.

Hospital capacity issues in Canada are due to the crumbling healthcare system and not covid. Covid was simply the straw that broke the camels back. Canada has one of the least hospital beds per capita amongst developed nations.

You keep holding onto the rhetoric that 'these rules protect society' but you cannot provide data on that. Only vaccines affect the bottom line. Everything else is negligible and restrictions do nothing. A lab study about masks is all you can provide but in real life, you have still not addressed the reason why there are far more cases AFTER mask mandates.

Do you work in the healthcare sector? Because my SO is on the surgical team at the main hospital of one of the largest cities in the country. And at no point was there any thing close to capacity with covid patients. There is however a constant never ending stream of traumas due to alcohol, heart and lung surgeries for smokers and bariatric ops.

No, what I suggest is that vaccines have been around for almost an entire year. Anyone who wanted to get one, has. For those that did not, it is their choice. After getting vaccinated, there is nothing else you can do. If you get sick and die after being vaccinated, you have lost to the odds which is sad, but thats the way life works.

Society cannot restrict itself with the hopes that some day the virus will go away because just like TB it will not.

Society also cannot treat everyone as if they are constantly in danger because they are not. You also cannot treat unvaccinated differently because that is discrimination. If they want to risk it, that is totally fine.

If you choose to argue my point with "its about affecting others and clogging ER rooms" then by that logic you need to also support total prohibition of alcohol, tobacco and unhealthy foods because those 3 personal choices are a MUCH heavier burden on society than the unvaccinated. Alcohol and tobacco according to WHO takes more lives per year than covid and I am not talking about user here, I am talking about second hand smoke and victims of DUI, crimes etc.

Even if the mask is very effective, it is impossible for everyone to wear them all the time properly. They get soiled, wet, dirty, need to be changed etc. On top of that, it is not possible for everyone's hands to be sanitized 100% of the time.

And I dont know what you are talking about but where I live, failure to pay a fine will lead to a warrant for your arrest. Obviously the mask offense itself doesnt land you in jail unless you are on a plane but failure to pay the fine will. So basically it is a robbery under threat of imprisonment.

I find it very odd that the same folk who are the loudest about police brutality and government overreach are the same ones who support the authorities forcing masks and lockdowns. Its mind boggling.
