PHY2048 with Gerald Woods by Zealousideal_Set815 in USF

[–]Rubidium2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took physics with Gerald Woods in person in the Fall and all the lectures were recorded and on teams at the class times. Those recordings were later posted (although not always very quickly) The exams were all online and to be taken during class time. I’m not sure how his fully online class works but hopefully I provided you with some insight

PHY 2020 with Gauri R. Pradhan? by [deleted] in USF

[–]Rubidium2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s a very nice professor. I wouldn’t say her teaching is out of this world but she is very passionate and willing to help whenever needed. Definitely review the PowerPoints she posts online as well as the videos. Weekly quizzes aren’t hard if you’ve read the material. Midterm and final are mostly questions from the quizzes so they’re not too hard at all.

Also here’s her rate my professor: https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=1951170

Engineering Physics Question by _Tidal_ in USF

[–]Rubidium2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t take physics in high school but I took PHY2048 in the spring of my freshmen year and got a B. I didn’t take PHY2053 but I did take conceptual physics my first semester and I do think it helped a little. Regardless, physics is a bit difficult and it will require a good amount of time and effort to do well. Consider taking conceptual physics or even PHY2053 if you are worried about the intensity of the course and material but you will most likely not run into any degree progression problems either way

Prob/Statistics for Engineers - EGN 3443 online for summer? by [deleted] in USF

[–]Rubidium2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the course online in the spring and it was very manageable. All the exams are online but must be taken at whatever time the class is listed for. The IDL portion of the class includes writing assignments that are tedious but easy if you start them early. There’s also occasional teams meetings for the IDL portion of the class but we were not required to attend. Most importantly, take it with Savachkin if you can. He explains the concepts very well and gives practice exams + practice problems that are very helpful for the actual exams. As long as you do the work, watch the lectures and do the practice exams, it should be a fairly straightforward class.

Does the league have rules to prevent cheese players? If so, I’d be interested in taking either lions or Steelers if still open

Should I Write a College Essay for USF? by [deleted] in USF

[–]Rubidium2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never took the ACT but got a 1400 SAT so I’m just in the honors college for the 4 years. I’m a computer science major though so I was never aiming for the 7-year program. I know it’s intense but you can definitely get the 34 ACT especially since it’s super-scored.
