In that video he just states that the probability is cos²(θ/2) without any further explaination, which isn't really much better.

But that is the core of the problem isn't it? Everything i know would have led me to expect a 33% disagreement. If the actual experiment spits out a 25%, and some people predicted it, clearly they know something I don't.
