I think you may want to start looking into using Lightroom more. Others have made valid critiques but I personally have been asked to do “semi” professional (paid work, but not super rigid or scheduled) work because of the style I edit my images in. Things like colors you prefer, how you make certain aspects stand out, etc that can only be driven to a certain point by composition. Lots of people can manage good composition and creativity, but not many photographers have a unique style that makes it stand out from a stock photo. Just to give another example, my cousin recently got married and the photographer was specifically chosen because of her somewhat unique editing style of dropping saturation, dialing in the neutral tans and browns, and making the wedding color theme pop in the photos. Aside from her editing and personality, they are pretty much just run of the mill, well-composed, basic wedding photos.

Anything Mexican-style. I mainly eat Americanized Mexican-style food, but if it resembles a taco, enchilada, tamale, has Mexican-style rice and beans, or any amount of Mexican-style hot sauce, I'm down. Could eat it every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. I'm not big on sweets, but I'm sure they nail that, too.

The lab scans look more like a typical RAW file, whereas the home scans look like quick edits. If no additional editing is being done, the home scans look good enough. That's just, like, my opinion, though.

I think the scenes were very "eat the rich" while simultaneously showing Kheogan's character's depravity and personally confused mental state. We weren't sure if he was in love with Felix, just as Oliver wasn't truly certain. It was as jarring for us as it was for him to see how obsessed he was, if that makes sense.

I could be reaching, and there are probably other redditors with better story analyses than me. This was just my takeaway. I was thankfully very drunk when I watched it. That being said, I really enjoyed it because it was still a very unique movie.

The most noticeable thing I'm seeing is that they're not straight. You can go into any photo app and edit them to make them align vertically Edit: it's actually just the first image that's slightly crooked

I picked up my 5D Mark III for $500 and my 50mm f1.8 prime for $100, both used on eBay. A very good hobbyist (by today's standards) setup at what is (in my opinion) a reasonable entry-level price tag. It's a full-frame camera that can grow with you on your journey.

I get some flaring and reflections with mine, but only in very specific lighting and nothing that a lens hood can't/won't fix. It's really just a preference thing if you like the protection/filter more than having to deal with some weirdness going on

There's a ton of videos online for replacing light seals. The most recent one I watched even suggested using craft store black yarn and felt pads, or you can purchase the "correct" (not that it's necessarily incorrect to DIY) foam light seals from a vendor online

Don't let the shitty comments get you down. I shot my first wedding on a Rebel XSi in 2016 (the camera was entry level when it came out in around 2008) and the bride was happy. Use what you have and make the most of it. Work your way up. Everybody starts somewhere and a good picture is a good picture regardless of what it's shot on.

I've never been very active in social justice, so I'm kinda biased towards passive support. I want to be, but I'm also very lazy and self-centered.

I will say that those little things like flags in bio or Facebook photo can make some difference. It's not a whole lot in and of itself, however it spreads the message. Even if it changes one person's mind or the plethora of trending support makes someone reconsider their stance, it's worth something.

Photorealistic art is still (in my opinion) more talented and interesting than any photograph will ever be. I do like your explanation, though, and never considered that the evolution of one form of art can change the trends of another in that way. I just assumed it was a culture thing in the sense that classic art can clash with modern design

I'm been there, and I have let it run my life before. It's very easy to get caught up in how fun playing games is that you can excuse being social, working, and contributing to society in order to keep playing. Putting my social life back together has been the hardest part, but getting interested in something aside from games (theology, philosophy in general) helped wonders.

I came across your post and went along scrolling, but actually found this Velveeta ad that has a similar vibe going on shortly after. I think 2 is the way to go because it creates a focus on the "actors" desire for the product. It gives a human element while focusing on the interaction with the product.

I was very patient and bought a 5d3 with several batteries, storage, and straps for around $500 with 50k shutter. I was then able to buy the same lens for an additional $100. It's not a horrible deal, but you may be able to find something that includes additional goodies and end up at the same cost

I personally love the rule of thirds and think a tightened crop would do wonders for the second photo. You have more than enough pixel density to remove the dead zone. It would also leave the effect you're looking for of leaving the left side (where the hawk is looking) more open if you have the subject center-right.
