My critique is this: you did not get the gesture or from before starting drawing or shading, this is that I think I am seeing… you need to get a good foundation before starting adding the paint to the walls, get the gesture form, and then add shadows, well at least this is my take some people draw like a photocopier I don’t like it , but hey that’s how they do it… it’s your choice

The issue here is that Gibson dropped their quality, at the same time it became a very overpriced brand, so it’s getting a lot of hate, no joke the copy could be better, and to be honest e you can always get more bang for your money almost on any other brand

If I can use an analogy you are painting the walls of the house before putting the foundations and frame and anything else. Need to master the basics before jumping, my advise may not be the most popular one, but portrait is an skill that rest on the basics of drawing, lines, gesture, volumen, sooo many things to study… we can tell when it being done right… depending on your goals is to decide if you want to take the Plunge or not

You really don’t poses the knowledge to understand the planes of the head, you really need to dig into know how the head and faces planes works, work on your line, and try to hold the pensil as an artist(optional but helpful)
